Between 1995 and 2005, Kim was the Founder and President of Upward Motion and is well known for dramatically penetrating the international real estate industry with a product called the Real Estate Simulator, a web-based assessment tool for the recruitment, selection and training of top performing real estate agents.
During that period Kim worked intimately with brokers to help them identify the characteristics, traits and behaviours of individuals who had the potential to be outstanding sales agents. Her expertise in this area makes her one of the industry's foremost experts on performance and success. As a result of her years of study and data analysis, and literally working with thousands of sales professionals, she has discovered that while top performers have a variety of different personality traits and execute different strategies to acquire their success, there really is only one substantial difference between top performers and others, their frame of mind.
Kim designed the Frame of Mind Coaching program to provide her clients with a supportive infrastructure where they could develop the skill of deliberate thought. Kim understands that the single greatest difference between those people who are stratospherically successful and everyone else is their THINKING. She knows that we all have the propensity to shift our thinking and achieve success.
The foundation for creating Frame of Mind Coaching lies in Kim’s ardent belief in jou aling as the absolutely most effective and profound vehicle to make substantive and lasting changes in your life and career. As such Kim and her team at Frame of Mind Coaching have just launched a new groundbreaking new software application for on-line jou aling called Frame of Mind Coaching that allows everyone to experience the significant benefits of jou aling.
She is also a regular contributor to a growing series of national real estate publications, including Frog Pond Magazine, RISMedia's National Real Estate and Relocation Magazine, and Real Estate Professional Magazine. She is known by her peers as an elite expert around sales and relationships, recently validated by being recognized as one of North America’s Top 50 most influential women in real estate.
Kim is recognized for her warmth, her passion and her instinctive talent for seeing the strengths of her clients and helping them live the lives they have dreamed of.

Pre-Wedding Paralysis
My wedding was scheduled for Tuesday, May 12th of this year. Why was it on a Tuesday? It somehow seemed to fulfill my need for different and original. On Wednesday, May 6th, only 6 days prior to my big day, I woke up with a pain in my neck. I didn't give it much thought. I figured I had slept in a bad position or that it was time for a new pillow. I had diagnosed it as wry neck - no big deal. That afte oo Jacqui and I planned to play hooky. For weeks we had decided to go shopping to buy me a few new outfits for my honeymoon.

The Huddle
The Rabbi at our synagogue has a way about him. He is short and bearded, and he reminds me of Papa Smurf. He sings and plays the guitar during services, chronically forgets the page number that we need to turn to, and makes a point of personally saying hello to all of the members in attendance. There is something about him that people are drawn to - his kindness, his warmth, his easygoing demeanour, his peacefulness. He just has a way about him. Each Saturday follows the same basic flow of song and prayer.

The journal and the Journey
I was helping my daughter, who is in grade 11, with her assignment on the George Orwell classic 1984 and we were discussing the symbolism of the diary in the story. Now, here is a quick re-cap for those of you who read this book many years back. 1984 is Orwell’s peek into a future totalitarian society where all individual expression is stifled. The protagonist of the story, Winston Smith, rebels by buying a diary and writing about life in Oceana. He writes about how he feels about Big Brother, truth, love, and all things that are banned by the ruling Party.

Those Are Fighting Words - Now What
It's the end of another great day in the world of real estate. You held a contract together despite the home inspection results, while maintaining your commission. You listed two sellable properties. You enjoyed three hours of and managing those leads. You are standing in the kitchen whipping up another tasty dinner, when your 14-year-old daughter walks in. "I hate living with you!" she declares as she plops herself on the kitchen floor, arms crossed, legs crossed, eyes crossed. What are you thinking at this critical moment?
