Leslie Menghi-Parzygnat RN & CCE

Leslie Menghi-Parzygnat is an experienced Labor Nurse as well as a mother of three beautiful children. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 13 years and has spent the last 5 of those in the Labor & Delivery area. Her background includes many high risk areas- such as Emergency Room nursing and Cardiac Care Unit nursing. She currently is an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider/Instructor and holds several other certifications like Neonatal Resucitation Procedures, Basic Life Support, and Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum. Her focus as of late has been more towards a more holistic Labor & Birth process- so she has become certified in the Happiest Baby on the Block education program as well as becoming a Certified Mongan HypnoBirthing Educator. She is curently working with a local hospital to include offering more holistic education approaches to the birth process for thier clients to chose and to make their hospital a "Birth Plan Friendly Facility" .....which intu will hopefully help to decrease their C-section rate and improve client satisfaction. Services at this hospital will also include being able to provide Doula services for private clients that plan to birth at that facility.

Leslie believes birth is not a medical event- and women need to explore all their options BEFORE becoming pregnant- or as early on in their pregnancy as possible. She encourages women to get a good education base about the birth process- and to start practicing a birth method of thier choice/belief as soon as possible. Her goal is to make the process of labor and birthing less mystifying and more miraculous of an event for mom and dad/birth companion. Leslie provides each woman with individual support from conception through birth... and even does a home visit a few weeks after the birth. "Mothering the Mother" is a service all laboring women should get- it make thier birth experience much more satisfying and memorable.
