What is grounding and why is it so important? Sometimes people have a tendency to live in the clouds, most especially those whose awareness is connected to Spirit. Part of our learning experience is to figure out how to balance between ‘living in the stars’ and keeping our ‘feet on the ground.’ Life is filled with dualities, good & bad, hot & cold, wet & dry and learning to balance between our Spiritual as well as our physical natures at the same time is no exception.

A great tool to help you with your journey towards tapping into your intuitive self is to keep a Psychic journal. Keep it with you, so you can jot notes down as they come up. Write down any strange coincidences. Do you keep running into the same person? Do you see someone that you just thought of even though you haven seen him or her for a long time? Have you heard the same song over and over again from different sources? Has a friend of your just said something that you know in your Soul is "true"? Are you continuously seeing the same number, color, animal or anything at all?

Psychic senses come in many forms. Most people know about clairvoyance, but I wanted to list the rest of the “clair-s” so that you are familiar with them all. You may have one or more of the following, but usually one is stronger than the others in each individual. -Clairvoyance - I thought I would start with the easiest. Clairvoyants see visions in their mind. You may have the impression that this is the only way to psychically know something, but don’t limit yourself to this way of thinking. There are other ways too.

When I was a child I was very good at football and baseball. Since it was the seventies, and while women’s lib has began to change things for those of us of the female persuasion, little league was still off limits to me. It would be another few years, before I ever saw a girl playing on an organized team filled with boys. Even though I was good enough, I had to sit on the sidelines.

There were three of us seated in the living room. The internet and cable was down so we were spending more time reading and talking. It was a good thing. Marion suggested that we all talk about the strangest metaphysical experience we have ever had. I thought to myself there were too many to count, but I would narrow it down to a few.

When I was six years old my mother announced that our family would sample the culinary delights from a different country at least once every month. Mom prepared food at home and we dined out at restaurants, as well. That may not seem extraordinary coming from today's standards, but this occurred during the early seventies, when many Americans didn't explore anything beyond white bread, meat and potatoes. For me, I not only discovered which fork to use with each course, I learned how to use chopsticks by the time I was seven. You won't catch me using silverware at an Asian restaurant!

When I was six years old my teenage babysitter walked with me and my brother to get a drink from a fast food place. I may not be a fan of anything fast-food these days, but back then a milk shake was a treat that I delighted in. Considering it was a hot summer day, the frozen chocolate tantalized my childhood taste buds. After I savored every last sip, I was at a loss with what to do with my now empty paper cup, lid and straw. There wasn't a garbage can in sight.

"What would happen if everybody ate lots and lots of fresh organic food that was minimally processed? I think we'd have an epidemic of health."rn-Andrew W. Saul, Ph.D.

Yesterday was the last day of my 46th year and I kept hearing as much in my mind. As the thought continuously made itself known to me, I decided to revel in the fact that an ending and therefore a beginning was taking place. I looked at my surroundings as though this was the last time I would see everything—and in fact, in a way it was true. I will never be that person I was yesterday again since today, I am who I am in this moment of now. It was refreshing to see the world in this Light.

I was preparing a fruit platter for the reiki class I was about to teach when I realized that every piece of fruit I had purchased was green: green apples, green grapes, green kiwi. In my former life, I was a professional party planner, so making this sort of faux pas was funny to me. I knew there was a hidden meaning behind the so called “mistake.” Green is the color of the heart chakra. I thought perhaps the theme of the class might just be about love. As the day progressed, I learned my hypothesis was correct.

I walked in on my roommate the other day and she was using another roommate’s laptop. Hers wasn’t working and she needed to get online to answer her emails. She is accustomed to her PC and this was a Mac and it was frustrating her. “I hate this computer! I hate this computer!” became her mantra. Energetically, her comments were knocking me for a loop and I pretended to be her and said to the Universe and to the others in the room, “I am GRATEFUL that I was loaned this computer so that I could do this work.
