Lucrezia Mangione MA, LGPC, CMT, CHTP/I
Lucrezia Mangione is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor #LGP4886 with the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists, Certified Massage Therapist approved by the Pennsylvania Board of Education and Certified Healing Touch Practitioner/Instructor, a rostered psychotherapist with the State of Vermont and an ordained minister. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Union Institute and University in Brattleboro, VT and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Management from Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. She is a Certified Healing Touch practitioner for over 17 years, a Certified Healing Touch Instructor for over 10 years, a charter member of Healing Beyond Borders, the education and certification organization for Healing Touch and a member of the Healing Beyond Borders Healing Touch Research committee. As part of her graduate work she pursued a qualitative research study on sensory processing sensitivity and trauma.

Since 1995 she has been working in the health and wellness field with a focus on complementary and integrative therapies that support the health-wellness of caregivers. Lucrezia has a special interest in stress, anxiety, sensory processing sensitivity, life changes, health behaviors/well-care and the change process. She works collaboratively striving to assist a person or group in improving coping skills, access to integrative health options, increasing resiliency and enhancing the quality of life and living. Ms Mangione works holistically from a whole person perspective and her theoretical orientation is person-centered, strengths-based using an integrative approach. She has been providing wellness trainings, Healing Touch, counseling and consultant services in hospital, educational, and private practice treatment settings including Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania, the University of Vermont, Expressive Therapy Center in Rockville, MD, the Potomac Massage Therapy Institute in Washington, DC and non-profits such as the Integrated Healthcare Policy Consortium.

Since 2010, she has been training nurses at Inova Healthcare Systems in Virginia in Healing Beyond Borders Healing Touch Certificate Program, has served as a sub-investigator on two pilot studies on the use of Healing Touch in an acute care multi-hospital setting and is serving as a research consultant providing content expertise on Healing Touch. As a counselor, Ms. Mangione integrates evidence based complementary therapies of Healing Touch, Energy Medicine, Energy Psychology and mindfulness contemplative practices. She works with a diverse population of individuals and groups ranging from children and adolescents to adults in Maryland. She has been providing mentoring since 1999 for Healing Touch practitioners seeking their certification and professional development.

She holds professional memberships with the American Counseling Association, American Mental Health Counselors Association, Vermont Mental Health Counselors Association, Association for Specialists in Group Work, Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling, and is a charter member of Healing Beyond Borders.
