I’ve caught myself in this trap, touting the statistics and reminding everyone who will listen that obesity is the leading killer in the US. I speak about the dangers of obesity and how being overweight shortens life and lengthens disease. But I’ve been thinking….is this the right focus? Is talking about death enough to motivate people to seek life? I’m beginning to believe no. Recently I had a conversation with a young father with many years of life ahead of him.

Laugh and Lose Weight?
A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa... ‘The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful.
