New York City born, raised and educated through college. I've always been a wordsponge and an education lover [PhD, JD] and I now use those words and education to coach and dispense advice and information in different formats! And do this from a home that floats on a river. I work under my umbrella business - Gray Wolf Productions; formed in 2004. We offer ebooks, audio and video files, seminars, training, and coaching on topics such as child development, parenting, healthy aging, and more. The most recent e-book, You Can Totlaly Screw Up As a Mom and Still Rasie Great Kids, is a personal, professional and humorous take on parenting by me - the anti-expert "expert" in the field of child psychology. It is now available for Kindle http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005007V0W and will be in other "virtual bookstores" soon. Updates about this book will be here and on my parenting site at: http://parenting201.org All books and products are listed on the main site of http://graywolfproductions.com

Don’t Try To Be The Perfect Parent
Many new parents have the feeling that they must be perfect at parenting or they will “ruin” their child for life. • They worry about how to feed the baby ? • They worry about how to play with their child? • They worry about toilet training? • They worry about sleeping arrangements These parents [usually new parents] don’t want to feel like failures or bad parents. They don’t want friends, colleagues, in-laws, or neighbors thinking they are not doing well at parenting or are the world’s worst parents.

5 Stress Busters
Are you stressed? Or are you among the rare 25% of Americans who are not greatly stressed at least once a week? [A number down from 45% about 25 years ago.] Why we have so many more people feeling stressed these days has been attributed to factors such as job conce s, crime, changing societal and religious practices, etc. I am not sure what stresses you, but I do know that the two reasons most people do not sleep well at night are worries about their health and their finances.

Cooperation vs. Competition in Today's Business
If you are in business today – do you still feel the need to compete? Or are you thinking cooperation? These are two very different business models, which lead to different marketing strategies and outcomes. Competition When you think competition; there is or can be only one winner – all others are considered “losers.” My son is fond of saying there is no second best – 2nd place is 1st loser! Competition too often leads to a scorched earth policy. But when you scorch the earth it’s important to remember that you are on that space too and so is your business.

Experts on child rearing: should you listen to them?
No! Not if you are about to use them as a step-by-step methodology for raising your child. Now a disclaimer: I am a child development “expert.” Starting out as an Early Childhood Education major, on to being a Kindergarten teacher; through to a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology and life as a professor, text book author and parent - I live and breathe child psychology. Yes, I am one of those experts. So why then do I ask if you should listen to child rearing experts and answer NO? In short - because your child is your child and not my child.

Anti-aging? Is it a real possibility?
I've been giving a lot of thought to this concept of anti-aging because every time I turn on my computer I see ads for anti-aging x, y, and z products. Is anti aging possible? Can it be a reality? Do you want it to be real? You might disagree – but in short - I don't think so. Aging is a process that starts when we are born - we get older every day! It's that plain and simple; then again I am a developmental psychologist and look at forward development; not backward. Aging is a process, it has a beginning, a middle and an end.

It's really okay for your teen-ager to hate you
This is a difficult topic. No one can tell you how to be a parent. But with that said ... please read on. Teens need rules. Teens do not need more and more freedom even though that is what they tell you they need and want. As a parent you need to set limits for all your kids - they bump against the limits and fight them but that is a good thing. It's how they learn what are the rules for our culture. If you keep moving the limits as kids bang against them - they never understand limits.

Ways of Increasing Creativity
Creativity – that oneness with our creative muse - is a great feeling. It allows us to feel free and to be productive. But how do we get that creative feeling going? And if we have it going – how can we increase its productivity? Creativity is often written and spoken about as coming from one’s muse – and though many use the muse idea - few today actually see creativity as “divinely” inspired.
