Times are tough and many people are struggling to stay optimistic given the state of the economy, the insecurity of their jobs (if they have one), the size of their mortgage and the strain that puts on relationships at home. Maybe you are one of them or maybe you know someone else who is having it tough.

Every day we find ourselves having to work through issues that come up in our relationships. Opportunities to express your conce s or opinions are never too far away. But, do you act on those opportunities or shy away from them? What is the one thing you should do to improve the quality of those relationships? Sometimes we make the assessment that it's really not worth our energy to put an issue on the table. We decide instead to just work around the issue or the person. But other times we do need to speak up and assert ourselves.

Even the best of intentions will prevent us from achieving goals, achieving success, eliminate procrastination, and much more, because we often weave excuses into the framework of our daily lives. Well, the time has come to learn to alter our behaviors and take control of our lives. Ahhh.... my kids are all back in school (sigh) and I'm sitting here at my desk (in a blissfully quiet house) reflecting back over the years and thinking how quickly the years have flown by.

As I think back and take the time to remember when I heard that Steve Irwin, my kids #1 hero, had been tragically killed. What a shock. People like him don't just die in their prime of life. Alas, of course, they do. Whenever I hear news like this, what really hits me is just how mortal we all ...

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Margie Warrell

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage" - Anaiis Nin

We all have our own ideas about what it means to be "successful" but so often we are kept from making the changes and taking the chances we need to take due to our self doubts, fears and limiting beliefs.

As a certified Ontological Coach I believe that mastery of life is not the absence of problems (challenges or hurdles) but mastery of them. Only by taking a good hard look at the stories you have about yourself and the world (and what you see as possible for yourself in the world) can you find your own inner courage and step powerfuly into action toward your goals and dreams and being the kind of person you most deeply aspire to be in the world.

My coaching is direct, practical oriented and gets to the core of the issues that are keeping you from doing and being all you want. I focus on managing emotions, engaging in powerful (and courageous) conversations, building confidence, clarifying vision and most of all, connecting my clients with the powerhouse that they are.

"The greater danger is not that you aim to high and miss, but that you aim too low and hit" - Michaelangelo
