I’ve been a spiritual seeker and self-improvement junkie for as long as I can recall. I’m the girl who as a feisty teenager declared that she was giving up the Catholic religion and had her grandmother threaten to disown her mother. I truly felt spiritually unfulfilled and sure was pounding my head against the wall looking for answers.
I read book after book on different religious philosophies, New Age approaches, Buddhism, self help thinking and Religious Science and found that nothing, like in ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, spoke to me. However, I’ve always felt like I was put on this wonderful planet to make a positive difference. But how and doing what? So, through times of feeling disconnected from my life and very, very frustrated, I just kept on reading and reading more books tha I can recount. I knew traditional world religions weren’t my cup of tea. And between us – if I had one more New Age guru tell me that love + forgiveness + compassion is the key to enlightenment – well, the wave of nausea would have led to some unpleasant end result (you get my drift, huh?).
Then I came across eye-opening teachings and archeological findings on a time many, many moons ago when God was revered as a woman. I totally delved into studying all I could about divine feminine spirituality, Goddess religion, earth-based spiritual traditions (aka paganism – I just hate that term though) and, yes, even witchcraft.
Let me say that I’m not a spiritual coach in a traditional kind of way. I’m far off from claiming to be enlightened. For me, those claiming to be enlightened are individuals cooped off from society without having to deal with daily life challenges. And believe me, I still deal with crap and show up in ways that some traditional religion followers might call totally unspiritual. However, I have a really, really strong sense that I am here to serve on this planet and want to have an impact on this world honoring Mother Nature and her gifts. So, for me, showing up authentically as a woman – emotions, quirks, faults and all; honoring Mother Nature in my lifestyle approach; and integrating spiritual traditions based upon my notion of a female god are the spiritual foundation of my life.
And that’s why I don’t call myself a life coach because I work with modern women to help them start paying attention to the area of life most often neglected – spirituality. We bust through the myths of traditional societal expectations and spiritual traditions to create freedom, independence and connection in your life. My mission is to help you find fulfillment and impact the planet in ways you dream of.
So, if you’re wondering what makes me qualified to call myself a coach, here are my professional creds:
- Received my coach training certification from the renowned CoachU
- Hold a MBA degree in management/marketing from Rutgers University
- Have extensive business experience in sustainability planning, corporate strategy, and marketing.
And on to some fun facts:
- I’m literally food-obsessed. I wake up in the middle of the night having come up recipes. (Only whole foods though…)
- My friends used to call me an energizer bunny on the dance floor. I could dance for hours and hours. Now I sneak in daily dance moves as my exercise…
- I was born in Germany to a German mother and American father. I spent the majority of my youth and teenage years living in Germany with my mother. (And, yes, I’m bilingual – I get that question all the time…)
- I have a 14-year old cat named Rusty. He’s fierce and feisty and motivated me to take on some of his personality traits…
- I’m a driven eco-activist in our house. Watch out for when you leave light switches on; don’t compost or recycle; or leave the water running. (Okay, let’s just say that I use Rusty personality traits – see #4.)
- I LOVE red wine and chocolate. I oftentimes enjoy both at the same time.
- I’m like a kid in the candy shop at the farmers market. I can’t make up my mind and tend to go overboard with wanting to buy everything.
- I love feminine, jewel-colored clothing. And my closet is organized by colors.
- I’m known for wearing really unique fashion jewelry (often gifted to me by my hubby).
- My Goddess muse for my altar is a combo of Aphrodite and Artemis. Her image is right next to my altar book displaying the words: Bold and Audacious Priestess, Spiritual Badass, Wise and Fierce, Rooted in Mother Nature.

Toss the Ruby Slippers - The Non-Fairytale Guide to Getting What You Want
Remember the delicious and riveting days of reading fairytales? Cinderella. Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Hansel & Gretel. The Wizard of Oz. These are all fairytales that have all shaped our roles and crafted views of standards in society. As kids, we lived for those stories. The stories created our dreams. The characters in the tales became our role models. I remember soaking up the words on the pages in the books and dreaming away. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized how much women especially are influenced by the fairytale symbolisms.

Don't Be an Emotional Doormat with These Five Power-Maxing Tricks
Do you have a rubber or cloth rectangular object lying at your front door? You know that thing that is meant to collect all the dirt and dust from your shoes? Yes, the common term used is doormat. Most of us go out and get ones that are seasonal or tie into the décor of our house. And what would we do without them? Have dirt dragged all over our floors and into our house? If you’re like me – you’re like: No way, Jose! I’m a bit of neat freak (but do look the other way for the cat at times).

The Power of Playing Make-Believe
Do you remember back to your childhood days where you played the game of make-believe? Who did you most often wish you were? What special powers did you have? Did you practice a special voice? And, naturally, Ladies, did you dress up a certain way? Okay, I’ll let you in on my secret make-believe persona as a kid. I was Tabitha from Bewitched. I would dream that I could just twinkle (or crinkle in my case) my nose and lo and behold I created magic. Time just flew by during make-believe time with the end result being pure bliss.

3 Ways Little Red Riding Hood Can Make You a Star at Work
How often have you heard that numbers don’t lie? This is typically a phrase that is thrown around during corporate meetings and more importantly, performance review time. So, if numbers don’t lie, let’s look at some important 2010 statistics relating to women in the workplace: Women represent 50.8% of the US population. Women comprised 47% of the total US labor force. The largest % of women (40.6%) worked in management, professional and related occupations. For women, 25 years and older, those with a bachelor’s degree or higher, 72.4% were part of the workforce.

How to Leave Old Feminine Traditions in the Dust
A friend had forwarded me an article titled: The Good Wife’s Guide from Housekeeping Monthly, 13 May, 1955. Now I had heard about the article before, but quite frankly, didn’t really form an opinion about it. However, this time around when we went through the “tips” that were given to the ladies in the 1950’s on how to please their man, I got a tad furious. Listen to this: -Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you’ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.r

Why Your Gut Always Knows Best
Just in case you’re thinking – no, I’m not referring to the gut as that part of your belly that hangs over your waistband after a few too many indulgences… I’m referring to the inner gut. What the heck is an inner gut you’re asking? Before I clarify, let’s see if any of the below statements resonate with you: I knew better. I had an inkling that I ignored. Something just didn’t feel right. I had an inner voice warn me. I ignored the feeling in my stomach. I felt like I had a sea of butterflies in my stomach and was thinking that I was imagining things.r

How to Blaze Your Own Path & Release Your Inner Prowess
Do you find yourself at times shaking your head at situations you encounter where you just want to say: “I thought we were out of the dark ages.” Well, it’s been one of those weeks for me. I just finished Gloria Steinem’s book: “Revolution from Within: a Book of Self-Esteem”. I ordered it after having seen a documentary on HBO on her, which totally reframed my opinion of the 2nd women’s movement in the 60’s. In full honesty, as much as the modern woman I am, I somewhat “disapproved” of the methods of this movement.
