Since founding Elite Training Systems in 2001, I have partnered with dozens of sales organizations in varying capacities to elevate individual and team performance and increase overall revenue generation and profitability. Through the delivery of public workshops and customized on-site training, I have educated thousands of consultative sales professionals using personally developed training programs. In addition, I have authored three books on the disciplines of professional selling which are available in retail stores across Canada. My company has been contracted by several organizations to develop and build customized sales training programs for internal client usage. I have worked in a one-on-one coaching capacity with hundreds of individuals to sharpen mindset, elevate sales skills, broaden business knowledge, enhance managerial abilities and implement proven strategies and processes for personal and professional success.
Marshall Northcott has been in Professional Consultative Sales for over 20 years. He has proven himself in a variety of industries and selling environments. He has sold tangibles and intangibles. He has worked corporately in outside and telephone sales and also in retail sales. He started his professional career as a Corporate Sales Trainer in 2001 when he founded SMP Strategies. Marshall created the Elite Sales Skills Training Program which is the most well rounded training program available today to Consultative Sales Professionals in Canada. He has authored several books which are widely praised by Corporate Executives and Sales Representatives across the nation. He is a phenomenal speaker, trainer, facilitator, mentor and coach!

Since founding SMP Strategies in 2001, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of individuals who earn their living as Consultative Sales Professionals. A career in sales is simple but it’s not always easy. My goal in working with people just like you is to smooth out some of the speed bumps. I started my career just like most of the people that come to our workshops and seminars. I worked for companies that offered very little in the way of training, support and mentorship. I was, as many people are, thrown to the wolves! Regardless, I was wide eyed, full of enthusiasm and energy and had high hopes for a brighter future and a better than average income. Once someone came into my life and offered me the assistance that I had been missing, I became a student and soaked up every piece of possible knowledge that I could get my hands on!
As a student of the sales profession, I have attended hundreds of hours of training, listened to thousands of hours of audio programs and read hundreds of books on related subjects. Knowledge alone is not power! As often as possible I applied what I learned, as I learned it in order to master the basics of selling. Today the student has become the teacher and I take great pride in being able to work with others to help them develop the necessary finesse skills and remove the mysteries of professional selling.
