I, Michael Rinaldini have been involved in healing and spirituality for most of my adult life. Currently, I teach qigong locally; nationally through the National Qigong Association; and internationally via my Qigong Certification program. I also have a background in acupressure (CMT) and offer this service locally.
For the past 30 years, I have studied and practiced in several spiritual traditions: Catholic monasticism, Hindu Vedanta, Zen, Vipassana and Tibetan Buddhism. For the last 15 years, my focus has been on the Daoist tradition. I was ordained a Daoist priest in 2003 and authorized to train and ordain others in 2006. I founded the American Dragon Gate Lineage and presently there are about 10 members in it, either ordained or training for ordination.

Primordial Wuji Qigong
One of my favorite qigong forms is Primordial Wuji Qigong. The form I practice is technically mine in origins, but the philosophy behind it belongs to a long tradition of qigong cultivation. I became interested in it during the early 2000’s. At that time, I was studying the writings of a variety of qigong teachers: Roger Jahnke, Jerry Alan Johnson, Michael Winn, Daniel Reid, Solala Towler, and Ken Cohen. Several of them had written extensively or produced videos on the Primordial qigong.

Cracking The Matrix
Cracking The Matrix Shifu Michael Rinaldini If you know the good visage, do not hold on to exte als. (Your) mind-spirit is your true teacher. The problems and riddles (gong’an, a Chan Buddhist term) posed by men of old should be investigated, (But) your own school (of thinking) must be spread about. Little by little you come to penetrate your past enlightened nature, More and more you show forth your compassion of old. When your compassion and purity are both (re-) established, You will attain sudden enlightenment and absolutely nothing will bind you.

How to get started
I teach qigong locally in Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, Califo ia. I also teach internationally (about seven countries) through my Qigong Certification program. Both local and distance students are enrolled in it. It is a 100 hour program covering four areas of study: a core group of medical qigong exercises, basics of TCM, Daoist studies and Daoist zuowang meditation. Upon completion, students are eligible to apply to the National Qigong Association for professional teacher certification.
As a Daoist priest, I am the founder of the American Dragon Gate Lineage, having roots in the Longmen Dragon Gate sect in China through my ordination as a 22nd generatio Dragon Gate priest. I am authorized to train and ordain others as Daoist priests.
People who are interested in learning more about qigong for their own health benefits or who would like to be professionally qualified to teach qigong, and those who have a serious interest in becoming a Daoist priest or simply training in the way of the Dao, can contact me.
