We had just returned from a brief family holiday in Fiji and while I was there I began to think about the energy or vibe or feel of a small business and how powerful and profitable it can be when you get it right. If you have ever been to Fiji you would have experienced "Fiji time" which is basically I'll get there when I get there. I know a few people who don't live in Fiji who run on Fiji time. The Fijians aren't all that conce ed about maintenance either.

The business owner tends to get focused on a great idea, and then charges headlong into making it happen without any real thought. Not really addressing where they really want to end up and by when. They may have some vague cloudy idea of where they want but really, there is no clarity.

I'm sure that you have either heard of somebody or experienced personally, travelling down the road in your motorcar and a warning light has come on, letting you know that you are low on oil, or perhaps the engine is running too hot.
