Transvaginal mesh: The transvaginal mesh, also known as pelvic mesh was introduced to help women suffering from pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. Originally approved for use almost 10 years ago, the FDA noted that complications arising from its use were "not rare". Often times the mesh will migrate from its original area of placement, causing swelling, infection and other complications. Symptoms include: bleeding, painful intercourse, swelling and pain.
Medtronic INFUSE Bone Graft: The medtronic INFUSE bone graft was approved for use by the FDA only in the upper back. It was discovered that Medtronic encouraged its use in the upper back and neck area to increase profitability. Victims of the INFUSE's off-label use experienced uncontrollable bone growth- leading to labored breathing, shortness of breath, nerve damage (including paralysis) and even death.
Granuflo Lawsuits: Frensius Medical Care is being investigated for complications resulting from its GranuFlo dialysis treatment after failing to warn medical personnel of the possible danger to experience dialysis-related heart attacks or death during treatment. According to a New York Times article a memo from November of 2011 revealed that more than 941 people suffered cardaiac arrest while undergoing a GrankuFlo dialysis treatment. Although doctors serving at GranuFlo were warned of the imminent danger, other medical personnel were not informed.
