I've spent my life being a mystical visionary and a spiritual maverick. I love to translate the experiential data of my life into spiritual insight. First a writer and a poet by nature, I studied jou alism at Iowa State University while working my way through college as a bartender, graduating in 1977.
At 26, a spontaneous and profound spiritual experience permanently transformed my outlook. The passion of my lifetime became exploring diverse avenues of personal growth and spirituality. Today I work as a personal growth facilitator, variously using the modalities of hypnosis, massage, emotional freedom technique or energy work.
I've been certified in hypnotherapy by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association and the National Guild of Hypnotists. I received my massage and aromatherapy certification from the Healing Arts Institute in Fort Collins, CO, an am currenlty a Licensed Massage Therapist in Florida, and a member of the Association of Bodywork & Massage Professionals. I use deep Swedish massage, Thai massage, aromatherapy, energetic healing and vibrational healing using tuning forks in a variety of wellness sessions.
I believe our spiritual nature pervades all we are and do, as well as the overall condition of our health and being. As such I'm also an ordained minister. Other things I've done in my eclectic past include being a self-employed free-lance artist for over 15 years, and a real estate broker for 10 years.
I love the influence Eastern mysticism has had on the West, and eagerly embraced Transcendental Meditation and yoga when they first arrived on the Western scene back in the mid-1970s. I've also studied Thai Chi, Qi Gong and received a brown belt in Shotokan karate in 1988. What inspires me is to help others become more aligned with the guidance of their intuition and their soul nature, the realm of the higher self.

The Key to an Open Heart
Few people are aware of the limiting power their judgments hold over the ability to live life on their own terms. Judgments are the glue that keep us stuck in unwanted outcomes. They take away the ability to be present in the moment. Holding a judgment is a belief that inhibits the transitory nature of experience. By remaining stuck in a viewpoint, rather than being open to what an experience feels like, there is little change in the world of experience. Judgments are opinions, usually with a moral edict attached.

Aligning With The Subconscious Mind
Using willpower alone for self-improvement usually leads to disappointing results. Very often when we make a decision to change something in our lives, that decision is made by the conscious mind only, while the subconscious mind is programmed with a conflicting agenda. Our conscious mind, which is the part of the mind that uses willpower, affects less than ten percent of our mental programming. Both aspects of the mind must be in alignment. If they are not, the subconscious mind will always win.
