She’s had the honor to work with some amazing teachers, including a Harvard teaching hospital in Boston specializing in mind/body healing while completing her master’s degree in counseling psychology in 1991. She has spent over 30 years studying how to effectively communicate with the subconscious mind to create healing and change. She founded Begin Within to help as many people as possible find the Love, Wisdom and Power within them.

We all have them. Emotional wounding from our childhood. An event, a person, something happened to create a cluster of pain and beliefs surrounding that pain. Years can go by, and as long as that wound is still festering, all it takes is a word, or a certain look on someone's face to trigger it. Then suddenly you are embroiled in a cloud of turbulence, lashing out at the poor person or thing that set you off, telling yourself a story of pain. A story that seems so true, that controls you so much, that eats away at your happiness.

When I'm down, down in the dumps, everything feels bad. I'm not interested in anything, don't feel like connecting with others or even going outside, don't even try to move me. Pass the ice cream. It seems that I want anything that will actually make me feel even worse! The last thing I want is to see happy, joyous people, laughing and having everything I can't have. It's like a part of me is keeping me prisoner and won't let go. Wow! That's pretty dismal. And, the fact is, I truly am down.

Have you ever felt that there is a deep hole inside you? One you cannot fill. I think all of us do to some extent. It feels like sometime, when we were very, very young, something or some things happened that pulled the natural love out of us and left a endless hole, because Love is infinite. With the love 'out' of us, we are left with trying to get love from other people in order to fill that hole, working to earn love, get approval, constantly vigilant about what was working and what's not, and constantly expecting rejection and more pain.

When we were young, very young, we made decisions about ourselves and the world we live in that have lasted throughout our lives. These decisions, or agreements about life, were made before we had a rational mind or the perspective and experience of an adult.
