What cell are you in the "body"?
cancer cell: any evil condition or thing that spreads destructively; blight. white cell: the body's defense system. Your white count rises with infection as your body creates more soldiers to kill the disease. As you see by the definitions of these two cells they are in exact opposite of each other. A cancer tries to disrupt or destroy while a white cell tries to repair and bring back together the body parts affected. I particularly like this definition of White cell because as Christians we are to "fight the good fight" , being ready for battle, soldiers in God's army.

Go ahead BE selfish!
We are taught not to be selfish but I believe in one area of our life we really need to be extremely selfish. That area is forgiveness of each other. For God will forgive us as we forgive each other (paraphrased from Luke 11:4). See I hear people all the time say "well I just can't forgive so and so for what they did". Do we not realize that we harm ourselves when we hold unforgiveness in our bosoms toward each other? That is why I say forgiveness is a selfish act.

The reason their is so much strife in our lives is not because of what everyone around us does but because of our selfish reaction to what others do! If we would learn to think more about helping someone outside our self instead of always trying to protect our personal motives or feelings or desires then we could learn to mend relationships instead of tearing each other apart! Selfishness brings fear which brings strife which ends in death because selfishness turns on the laws of sin and death in our life!
