Byron Katie so wisely repeatedly asks her clients: “Who would you be without your story?” This question has fascinated me the moment I heard it. Of course this question can be understood in two ways: One way is who would you be if whatever happened to you in your life (that forms your life story) never happened? The other meaning is the implication of what kind of person you have become as a result of having experienced your story in your life. In this article, I am using this meaning.

Have you ever postponed some thing you really wanted or needed to do until you had a long Wanna-Do List later that never got fulfilled? Have you ever wished for extra time to sleep a bit more, read longer, or do something different? Worry is a misuse of imagination. Dan Zadra What I have learned from life and coaching is that most people spend more time worrying about troubles than actually thinking of preventing them from happening, or handling them positively after they do. Additionally, what I have learned from my Emotional Intelligence training and research into the brain science is that the tiny amygdala glands, located at the back of our brains, are responsible for having us react to physical as well as non-physical threats in a similar way, and sometimes in the same severity.

Listening is usually identified as a positive personality trait. It can be seen as a virtue and a sign of generosity and wisdom, which may place listeners at high regard in front of other people. Therefore, many individuals may not hesitate to say they are good listeners, but may do so when confessing they are good talkers.

Disappointment is a killing feeling we know too well. It is a feeling of sinking in the heart, body, mind and soul. You literally feel your energy level goes down gradually, until it almost touches your feet. It feels like sadness merged with bits of anger. It can be described as the antonym of anticipation, like anticipation gone bad.
