Authors BIO
In her first book, The Emerging Woman, the author, Rev. Dr. Karema McGhee HHP, explores holistic health ideas. She has expanded her world view and built a legacy of lessons in her follow-up book Captivating Woman. Karema McGhee is an ordained minister and holistic health practitioner certified in areas of complementary alte ative medicine such as Aromatherapy, Sound therapy, Holistic Nutrition and Behavioral Health. With over 10 years in the Holistic Health industry she has successfully created a full curriculum for the University for Holistic Arts, which she founded and directed from 2006-2009. The University for Holistic Arts was a board accredited distant learning education body through the American Association for Drugless Practitioners. With online interactive blackboards and a full e-campus book store for its students, the University was operated with hard core ethics and gold leaf principles. Karema McGhee has used this same strategy in her workshop series for Captivating Woman. Also the owner of MUSACOPIA Soy Candle Company and MUSCOPIA Natural Skin Care Company, she continues her work as an active, Operation Health Freedom Advocate. In addition, McGhee is a motivational speaker and member of the Coalition of Natural Health & the American Holistic Health Association. Captivating Woman is just a peek into the mind of an author with not only creative juices but also a mission to improve the lives of those she touches.

Captivating Woman
This body is the church, it is the temple, it is the sanctuary, the mosque, the hallelujah, the salaam, the Hare Krishna, the great ‘I am’ resides in this body, and therefore I submit to the holiness that resides within it. Who but the arrogant blasphemes the great I am that resides in this holy church, this holy body? Who but the ignorant tries to enter its gates without the cleanliness of the most high? Neither can a man be with this greatness without experiencing its greatness indeed.

The Power of Making Miracles Happen
I could write a book about how I managed to survive a divorce, or sharing my husband with another woman, losing my home to foreclosure, or how I was still able to smile while sleeping in my car because of homelessness. I could use the cost of ink to smear the painful experiences of yesterday all over these pages, but that would be unwise and pointless.

Finding Pleasure In Unpleasant Circumstances
We are always looking for, seeking, and anticipating feeling good. We love to feel good because it feels good. That’s a no-brainer for sure. We cannot be without the feel-good factor. Some of us go to drugs to feel good. Some of us use anti-depressants to feel good again or even to hold on to a little bit of the good feeling. Some of us lower our standards to feel good. We go back, and keep going back, to the feel-good moments, hoping that they will be as pleasurable as they were the first time.

Feeling lonely? Spiritually do this!
Somewhere someone is feeling empty and or lonely. The thought of feeling empty is not only a scary thought but when I think about what feeling empty feels like it can be a bit overwhelming. It is most often that when people feel a sense of emptiness or loneliness’ they get a sense of pause, a sudden sense of idleness so to speak. They can’t really make a move that seems worthwhile because they are most likely feeling worthless.
