Rev. Juliet Nightingale

British mystic, Rev. Juliet Nightingale, is the founder of the organisation, Toward The Light. She is a minister of Metaphysics, a clairvoyant spiritual advisor/counsellor and medium, Reiki and remote healing practitioner, and one who's had multiple near-death experiences (NDEs). She's a life-long mystic and Seer who's been on a divine quest all of her life. Toward The Light was founded by Rev. Juliet Nightingale—a mystic and Seer from England—who has been through a number of near-death experiences, (NDEs), as a result of life-threatening illnesses since childhood. She’s also had many out-of-body experiences (OBEs) and spiritually transformative experiences (STEs)—all of which have had a profound and lasting effect on her life. Initially, however, she rarely spoke of them as a result of being grossly judged and misunderstood. In 1997 she joined the International Association for Near-Death Studies, (IANDS), and has, since, been able to share her experiences first hand, and has generated great interest and deepening awareness of the profundity of the NDE, OBE & STE in recent years.


How It All Came To Be

For so many years, experiencers have been 'in the closet' about their having had an NDE or similar experience for fear of being misunderstood, judged, ridiculed or even persecuted. Some experiencers have ended up in a mental ward or put on drugs … and some child experiencers being slapped and shouted at and silenced by a parent or other relative, because of the prevailing ignorance surrounding the NDE! It was rare to see anything featured in mainstream media about NDEs — least of all in broadcast media. People just didn’t talk about it. In fact, Rev. Nightingale didn’t even know about IANDS until 1997 nor was she even aware of Dr. Raymond Moody, who coined the term ‘near-death experience’! Yet IANDS has been in existence since the early 1980s! So one can see why so many NDErs have remained hidden — more for the sake of self preservation — and trying to lead as normal a life as possible. Therefore, in order to avoid persecution or being 'excommunicated', as it were, NDErs fell into silence…

Not only that, but the whole issue of death had remained such a stigma — something you just didn’t talk or even hardly think about — something that was utterly taboo! There are countless individuals in our world who are still terrified of death. Why? Because they think that that’s the end — end of the story. Poof! That’s it! You’re gone forever! Nothing could be further from the truth and that’s why so many NDErs have been sent back from the Other Side — to affirm that life is ete al and that we do carry on … as conscious, living, thriving beings with incredible power and love!

Now, the NDE is not only being openly talked about, it’s receiving widespread media interest — in both print and broadcast media — everywhere across the globe. You’ll see NDE-related material all over the place and it’s even become a household term!

With a subject that had been silent and hidden for so long — now emerging into the light of day — it became evident that it was time for Nightingale's 'coming out'. Thus, in 2000, with the courage to finally hold nothing back, she availed herself to the media for the purpose of furthering study and research on these topics, as well as to provide more hope and peace of mind. Since then she's appeared on various radio programmes, TV, and in newspaper and magazine articles, as she discusses her experiences and knowledge of near-death/out-of-body experiences, the afterlife and the immortality of the soul. She has also written articles and given talks on these subjects, pointing out that "...we never really die; we simply shift from one realm to another — remaining totally conscious and alive, but in a different form. We never cease to be ... and it is the destiny of every soul to return to the Light."

Furthermore, in January 2006, Nightingale was approached by BBS Radio Network to host her own weekly radio show — an offer she graciously accepted. Thus, Toward The Light was launched on 6 March 2006 — the first and only radio show centred on NDEs and related topics. She featured PMH Atwater — a premier author, researcher and experiencer of near-death states — as her first guest. Since then, Toward The Light has become widely popular throughout the world and Nightingale's featured a stellar roster of guests each week that have kept listeners coming back for more.

Nightingale has received rave reviews for her work as a radio show host and is being sought out by other networks and individuals who recognise her talent and skills as a seasoned and informed interviewer.
