was born and raised in the South End of Boston, not to be confused with S. Boston. I was in the restaurant business most of my life and I loved it. I consider myself a gourmet cook although i never cooked in any restaurant I ran or owned. I discovered my passion after I left the business. Network Marketing is now the focus of all my energy. I enjoy reading, writing. I am an avid Red Sox fan. In my career as a bartender I met two US presidents. How do you become successful in Network Marketing? It's like any other business that you would start. Find a company you would like to get started with and model their leaders. In other words do what they did to become successful. The reason that franchises like McDonald, Burger King, KFC, etc are successful is that you can order a meal in Boston and then go to San Francisco and order the exact same thing. They have a model and they use in every one of their stores without exception. that is why they are so successful. Sound simple doesn't it? And it is.

Bariers Of Entry And Exit
Why do people gravitate to Network Marketing instead of more traditional businesses? I have been in the restaurant business most of my life and when I was laid off from my traditional job I decided I would like to open a sandwich shop. I started doing some investigating and before I was thru the total cost was around $200,000.00. This is without rent, lights, etc. My how prices had changed since I last owned a business and basically I was buying myself a job that I could work 10-12 hours a day for six days a week. The barrier of entry was way too high. Which brings me back to MLM.

Networking And the Quality of Life
During the 2000/01 winter season my hubby Richard and I decided to check out Palm Beach, Florida. Boy, did we demystify that scene. He got a job at a posh boutique hotel and I talked my way into being a makeup artist at Donald Trump's Maralago Spa/Salon! But that's another story. I was missing my big bouncin' beautiful brown-eyed boy Jackpot, my greyhound. I was researching the Italian greyhound breed and was net-working with a woman who was involved with rescuing this breed.

In the fall of 2000 my wife and I went to Florida to see if we wanted to live there. While I was there I started working as a Night Mgr./M'aitre D at a hotel in Palm Beach. I worked nights so my wife was lonely and decided she needed a pet. She did this without my knowing. You can imagine my surprise waking up one morning and hearing barking. I said to myself that doesn't sound like Cydne (my wife). Cyd had adopted a springer/dalmatian mix although she looked like a springer. She didn't take to me at all and I sensed that she didn't like males.

Senior Citizens,Retirees And Network Marketing Their are many people who are either voluntarily retired or forced into retirement, because of the way the economy is changing right now. Some have been downsized and some have received retirement packages. This does not mean that they are not functional or capable of holding or perfoming well at another job.
