Ten Tips For Effective Stress Management
Stress is a necessary part of life. Stress, in a positive form, lets you know that you are challenging your own limits, like when you strain to lift 10 more pounds or push yourself to finish a project before the deadline. Stress, in a negative form, wears down your physical and emotional systems. So stress management strategies are sought after by everyone.

5 Ways To Help Tightness In Chest With Anxiety
Panic is probably the most terrifying symptom of an anxiety attack. The tightness in chest with anxiety sometimes feels like a heart attack. But fixing just the tightness won't remove the anxiety. You could take an aspirin or painkiller. You could meditate or take deep breaths. You could exercise. These may lessen the pain. But it will probably return, if the anxiety is not eliminated.

The Most Moral Act Of All Is The Creation Of Space For Life To Move Onward
The title of this article is a quote from Robert Pirsig from his book “Lila: An Inquiry Into Morals.” Mr. Pirsig is best known as the author of “Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance,” widely regarded as the best selling philosophy book of all time. I highly recommend both books (for what that’s worth). This article is not a discussion of either book, nor the philosophies expressed in them. They are controversial. And I am not equipped to jump into that controversy. That’s on you, if you so choose. I am here to discuss the quote above.r

But surprisingly, when the National Institutes of Health (NIH) studied heart attacks in women, they found that women have much different experiences. So if you are a woman – or someone who loves one – you need to know how heart attack symptoms women differ from heart attack symptoms men.

The problem with corporate America and bureaucratic government is that promotions are based on sycophancy not competency.
Sycophancy is defined as “fawning obsequiousness. Synonyms: grovelling, servility, cringing, fawning, kowtowing, bootlicking, toadyism, slavishness.” Obviously, these ar negative terms. Being a sycophant is a negative thing. Being a sycophant is the worst form of lying to yourself, because a sycophant denies his or her fundamental perception of reality and subordinates it to what he or she thinks the boss wants reality to be. It is not merely subordinating yourself to the boss. It is subordinating your mind and soul to the boss.

No One Ever Became A Leader By Submission.
One definition of a leader is “one who is followed by others.” Another is “one who has influence or control over others.” This is accomplished by force (including authority based on position) and charisma (people want you to lead them). This implies that a leader is a person who expects others to follow. Or a person who is confident enough to seek to influence others. We're not talking good or bad leaders, or people who abuse their office of authority. Just making some generalizations.r

I Need Help Losing Weight
What is it about losing weight that makes it so hard to stick to? Why are you throwing up your hands and crying “I need help losing weight”? It seems pretty straightforward right: burn more calories than you take in and lose weight over time. So you either increase your exercise routine or you change - and lower - the calories you eat. Hmmm. Maybe it’s not the process. Maybe something else is interfering. Maybe it’s stress.

Leader May Be The Smartest In The Room, But Is Not Smarter Than The Room
A leader knows that he or she may be the smartest person in the room, but isn't smarter than the entire room. Use your team for good ideas. Leaders have a combination of intelligence, charisma, character and experience. These are very difficult to define and even harder to teach. Which is good, because this article is not about any of these characteristics. It is about personal excellence, but that’s at the end of the article.r

At The Heart of Leadership is Creativity, Imagination and Seeing Beyond Boundaries and Conventional Thinking
There are many theories on what leadership is. People love to give flowery language and fiery quotes that seem more motivational than instructional. Listing endless adjectives about leaderships is not defining leadership or even describing leadership. It actually shows how hard it is to say what leadership is. It’s more than just holding a position of authority. It’s more than just developing personal excellence. It’s more than just cheering people on. It is especially more than yelling at or threatening them. But there are not too many theories on what leadership is not.

Situational Leadership and Success Coaching
Leadership is defined as “someone who guides or directs a group.” There are many ways to do this. The most visible and probably the most ineffective is to yell at people until they do something that looks like what you want them to do. That works once. But true situational leadership - that focuses on the group, the conditions, and the goals - is a much more effective and long lasting method of leadership.

How to get started
At my last training session at my dojo (karate achool) before I entered law school, my sensei (karate teacher) attacked me mercilessly, pressuing me, repeatedly knocking down and for far longer than the usual sparring session. "Good job. You didn't quit," he said. "Now law school will be a piece of cake." And he was right. I soon realized that the same internal stress fighting mechanisms and focus and attention to detail were needed in the courtroom and the dojo fighting ring. I developed STRESS JUDO COACHING to match the efficiency and progression of the martial arts belt training system to the immediacy of stress management training, so you can use it to maximum effectiveness in minimum mastery time.
