Hello all,
My name is Robert Watson, and I was recently selected to be a new expert on "speed reading" here at SelfGrowth.com.
I am a high school mathematics teacher, and I also help teach a test preparation course for our students to help prepare them for taking the SAT and ACT exams. As a part of this course, I teach them the fundamentals of speed reading; after all, if they spend too much time on these tests reading the passages, they're not accumulating any points from answering the questions.
In order to help me get across the point across to these students about how important speed reading is, I created a few web applications which you can find (for free) at Free Online Speed Reading Test. Last summer, using those tools, I performed a study on speed reading which showed that, in general, people who are more successful in their careers tend to read faster than those who are not. The results from this study are also available at that website.
In addition, as you may have figured out by now, I do enjoy web design and I'm slowly learning some computer programming skills as well.
