During my 20 years in the elementary classroom I specialized in teaching reading and writing. For the last 10 years of my career I was in teacher education, presenting inservice workshops to teachers, and providing model demonstrations in classrooms. I served as the director of the Southern Nevada Writing Project (SNWP) for over 10 years. The SNWP is one of 200 sites of the National Writing Project, a grass roots organization of teachers teaching other teachers about the best and most effective ways to improve the teaching of writing.
I recently retired and I'm now focusing on my own writing career. I have just completed my first book for children entitled "Imagine That...A Picture Book of Possibilities". It was a delightful opportunity to collaborate with my son Bentley who did the beautiful artwork.
The book is designed to help children understand their magnificence and realize that they can be, do or have whatever they choose. If they believe it they can find a way to achieve it.

Life After Divorce: Choose Your Own ending
Life After Divorce: Choose Your Own Ending While divorce can be a heartbreaking event, the key to healthy adjustment is to accept the realities of your new situation and move on. The future lies in your hands because you have control over your choices. One of the hardest things to do is to choose to forgive. Difficult, but essential for your healing and emotional health. Forgive yourself and forgive your spouse. In any divorce there is fault on each side, not always equal fault, but fault nevertheless. Take time to examine your flaws (without beating yourself up).
