Rossanna Massey has eighteen years of clinical experience as a Chiropractic physician. Many years ago she incorporated EFT into her practice and discovered the amazing effects of it on her patients. She decided to retire from Chiropractic practice to focus exclusively on EFT. Since then she's received her certificates of completion (EFT-CC, EFT-ADV) and went on to obtai Gary Craig's certifications (EFTCert-I, EFTCert-II). Rossanna has an intuitive understanding of people from the many thousands of patients she has encountered throughout her career. Although she is well versed dealing with physical ailments and serious diseases and how they tie into emotional aspects, she has a natural propensity for performance empowerment on all levels.

Since the beginning of my EFT career I’ve been fascinated by the many layers of emotion behind serious diseases. Many of my patients who came to me for spinal related problems were also under their medical doctor’s care for a variety of different illnesses. Intuitively I always suspected specific emotions related to their chronic illnesses, yet I was careful not to approach the subject with them. My patients would tell you that I am not a shy person but I was mindful not to get too personal while working on them.

With every week that passed she started to feel more comfortable, and started recognizing her issues about her own parents without feeling like she was dishonoring them. As in the case of most angry people, she felt that she had already “dealt” with that part of her life, but I knew better. She admitted that her mother was bossy and controlling who “picked on” her father, who never defended himself. The guilt behind the anger at her own parents, who are both deceased, kept her from ever expressing it. I assured her that you can love someone very deeply and still be angry at them.

Witnessing a murder is a specific traumatic event. It produces post-traumatic stress, yet oftentimes it's much faster to achieve resolution with EFT because it is one specific event. In contrast, soldiers in combat generally experience more than one traumatic event, which takes more time to deconstruct and diffuse.

Anyone who has suffered traumatic events has "stress." And, by expanding the terminology of PTSD, I think of all my EFT clients as having some form of “post-traumatic stress.” And while military personnel have received the most attention in this regard, this is not exclusively a military problem. As an EFT practitioner, I work with the effects of past traumas with every client.

This article is directed to EFT practitioners who may have inexplicably experienced only marginal gains with certain clients which can then discourage them from seeking further help with EFT. While I deal mostly with serious diseases, recognizing this not so obvious barrier between you and your client, and addressing it head-on initially, could save you both time and effort and get you the results that you expect.

I have long wondered why there was such a mixed bag of experiences for women post postpartum. How is it that some women get depressed and why others do not? Is it really just an unbalanced internal chemical mix that happens randomly, or are there contributing emotional factors that give one the propensity to not be able to handle what is normally a natural hormonal shift in the body after delivery?
