Root Healing offers traditional Missoko Bwiti Iboga Retreats in Thailand and Portugal. Iboga is a powerful plant medicine healer that can reconnect you to your soul, and help you to be happy and live the life that you want to live. The Bwiti are from west Africa and have been the shepherds and protectors of Iboga for thousands of years. For this reason, we have chosen to train with the Bwiti and learn how to work with this medicine the way they have for thousands of years.

It is our mission to promote the Bwiti tradition (especially in our work with Iboga) and provide equitable access to healing for all eligible people. Ryan "Ghenigho" Rich, our lead Iboga Provider, is trained and empowered by 10th Generation Bwiti Shaman Moughenda and is dedicated to the healing of his clients. Our other staff have unique skills and offerings that also help to promote your healing and integration. We also have a doctor, pharmacist, and nurses on staff who have been trained on Iboga and its effect on the body. The medical staff will review your health assessment and offer guidance on your preparation and determine whether it’s medically safe for you to partake in an Iboga Ceremony.

Our retreats generally last for 7 nights and include 2 Traditional Bwiti Iboga Ceremonies, 2 Integration day trip excursions, counseling, preparation guidance, food, accommodations, airport transfer, yoga, meditation, and integration calls post-retreat. Retreats are priced on a sliding scale to promote equitable access.
