The Fear of Choosing
I’ve had many clients who want to make a change in their career but don’t know what to do. They have plenty of great ideas: on-line businesses, teaching, becoming a consultant, working for a non-profit, finding a green job. But they are afraid to choose one, because, what if they don’t make it? What if they don’t like it? What if they decide they would rather spend their time doing something else? What if they miss other opportunities because their focus was elsewhere? REALLY?? Come on. You are a creative being. You will ALWAYS have new ideas to distract you.

This Simple Exercise Can Transform Difficult Relationships
When I have a client with a difficult relationship with a boss or colleague, there is a simple exercise that I ask them to do. It is a transformational exercise that can become a life-changing practice. It is simply to list the positive aspects of their “difficult person”. This includes anything from “he’s a snappy dresser” to “she held the door open for the person coming in after her”. At first, my clients are so stuck in seeing only the negative that they have a difficult time with seeing anything positive at all.

Favorite Quotes & Thoughts from Sally Templeton
Understanding oneself deeply is essential to being an extraordinary leader and successful in one's career. Knowing that your experiences, philosophies and values can drive your behavior, and understanding how they drive it, awaken you to your own strengths, opportunities and potential pitfalls. Knowing yourself as well as you can – taking off blinders, realizing your impact and how you are reflected in others’ eyes – allows you to realistically assess how to leverage your strengths, and adjust for your weaknesses.
With customized, confidential coaching, an individual not only gains this information about oneself, but learns how to use this information in combination with the culture and expectations of their organization and community - to jumpstart their professional life or even change their career. Add the learning of proven tools and processes for change, communication and management that I bring to the table, and they can transform themselves into an extraordinarily effective leader: a leader who delivers the desired results while increasing trust and respect, developing self and staff members, and contributing to a stellar team and community.
