I can help-
I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Sharon Ball and I am a wife, mother, pet owner, nurse practitioner, and a life and wellness coach (among many other roles). While I was a nurse working in ICU I found that I loved to teach and wanted to help people learn what they needed to know so that they could maybe prevent a return to the ICU setting. That desire led to a Master’s degree in Community Health and Wellness Promotion, then later another Master’s degree in Geriatric Health and Diabetes Management as a Nurse Practitioner, and later still a certification as a Life and Wellness coach.
I've been a "self help" addict for more than 30 years. In order to improve my own health and happiness I have read hundreds of Self Help books. I'd love to share with you some of what I've learned. Together we can make your weight loss program a success, help you quit smoking, boost your self confidence, open up new creative outlets, the possibilities are endless. As a life and wellness coach, I'd like to show YOU how you can live healthier, happier, and with more of what you want in your life

Reinventing Yourself, Planning for Retirement
There are 76 million or more of us Baby Boomers who will be retiring between this year and 2030. Most of us aren’t a whole lot older than our Social Security system which we begun in 1935. An interesting fact is that Germany set up their old age pension in the late 1800’s. They were the ones that determined that 65 was the magic age because at that time only 1% of the population lived beyond age 65. If we wanted to only pay Social Security to the oldest 1% today we would be waiting until age 86 to retire.

Self Nuturing or Self Indulgence?
So many of us feel guilty about taking time for ourselves. The very words self care or self nurturing sound selfish. We feel guilty and selfish because we don’t understand the difference between self care/self nurturing and self indulgence. Self indulgence is similar to narcissistic behavior. What is narcissism? The online American Heritage Dictionary defines narcissism as a “psychological condition characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem.”

Manage Your Thoughts, manage Your Stress
In today's world it seems that everyone is suffering stress overload. We now have many labor saving devices that allow us to accomplish more and do it all faster which means we are expected to accomplish three times the work expected 20 years ago. A business loses a staff person and instead of replacing that person, the other staff pick up the extra work. Women work outside the home and then return home and have another full time job waiting for them. Not to mention the stress of being in a relationship or trying to find a relationship or trying to become "self actualized".

Your Mental Well Being
Henry David Thoreau wrote “……I wished to live deliberately, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation...” Even in 1854, Thoreau noted that most men are slaves to their work and enslaved to those for whom they work and states that “"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation....”

How to get started
Henry David Thoreau wrote “……I wished to live deliberately, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation...” Even in 1854, Thoreau noted that most men are slaves to their work and enslaved to those for whom they work and states that “"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation....”
Are you living a life of quiet desperation? Do you ever wish you could stop the world so you could get off? Do you feel your days are spent just running from activity to the next with barely enough time to breathe? Are you always watching the clock and thinking “it can’t be that late already”? And when you do get some free time at the end of the day, do you “zone out” in front of the television? When you are out shopping or doing errands, do you have a cell phone glued to your ear? Do you wish that somehow your life was more satisfying but you don’t have a clue how to create your dream life or even what your dream life looks like?
I can help you reinvent your life and create YOUR dream life without the hype most life coaches rely on. I'll give you a step 1-2-3 blueprint to get you where YOU want to go. Come see me at www.reinventingyourselftoday.com
