My personal adventure began in 1998 when I was going through a challenging time in my life. I realized on some level that I had never been truly happy.

Although I changed: husbands (twice), cities (five moves), podiatric practices (three different practices in three different states) and friends (should we go there?), I still had no real joy in my life.

A leap of faith was the last resort.

I sold my practice, my boy-friend (only kidding), and my beautiful home – and closed the surgical residency program I was director of (yes, that was a pretty big deal – and yes, the medical community thought I was nuts).

During this time I received a copy of don Miguel Ruiz’s NY Times best-selling book (“The Four Agreements®”) and decided to go on one of his spiritual jou eys to the sacred site of Teotihuacán.

The journey was profound.

After leaving behind the world of medicine and financial success, I discovered there wasn’t anything outside of myself that needed changing at all – instead it was what I believed about myself and my world that needed work.

It was the first time I realized my pain stemmed from my basic lack of self-love, limiting beliefs, and creative imagination. As a result of that journey, I became a student of don Miguel Ruiz and later a teacher of this enlightening work that even Oprah was fond of.

I spent nearly 8 years on this transformative spiritual quest with my teacher. As I rolled across Califo ia in my car, I began to explore the landscape of my inner world. It was a rocky, unforgiving place. But over time, I gained the skills + tools to shift my own reality (and that of others) — from the inside out.

Learning from don Miguel inspired me to write two books on spiritual growth + consciousness: The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Toltec Wisdom and Banish Mind Spam! and one awesome online program, The How To Forgive E-Course.

During my time with don Miguel I had the privilege to design and organize his jou eys and retreats. It was a fantastic opportunity to wander around the world and learn the travel business at the same time inspiring me to give birth to Jou eys of the Spirit® and my coaching practice in 2003, and JOTS® Luxury Travel in 2011.

My own process led me to ask critical questions and make astute observations on what constitutes a truly successful and empowered life.

As entrepreneurs we work hard on ourselves. We get coaching (consistently), we work on our personal growth (does it ever end?), we become focused and driven (like a dog after a bone). Then finally we create the abundance and income we’ve always desired, but realize something – some je ne sais quoi has been missing or way-laid along our path.

It is that ineffable “je ne sais quoi” that I am dedicated to exploring and transforming – the pieces that create unlimited abundance (in every direction), ultimate success, an extraordinary life, and true wealth. I invite you to join me on a most unexpected and remarkable journey.
