Suzanne is most commonly referred to as an "action expert". She has lectured, trained, inspired, and provided coaching and consulting services to thousands of business owners in the last two years alone. After working for the nation's largest union, being a professional actress, a nationally ranked water skier, a high school teacher, and an Assistant Producer to five Broadway shows (all before the age of 30), Suzanne began using her life experiences to coach a wide range of people on living their fullest potential. She created a private coaching practice with over 40 clients in one year, launched three businesses in a four-month timeframe, and took her business from 0 to six figures in 15 months. Action comes naturally for Suzanne!

She is co-author of Blueprint for Success with Steven Covey and Ken Blanchard and creator of The Help More People System. Suzanne Evans Coaching and Programs run some of the most respected online distance learning and coaching programs for small business owners and helping professionals in the world. I had a need to be right for a long time. Maybe about 30 years - it kept me in a job I hated, my max earning was about $50k, I had no free time, and had created a situation where I could hardly make any of my own decisions. It became clear to me that being right no longer served me. I went as far as to have the belief that I wasn't really interested in seeking therapy or coaching. Period. I realize I was deeply afraid they might make me "wrong". Some people will get tired of it.

What are you asking for? When you go to a drive-thru (for me Starbucks - thank you! ) do you say give me what you want me to have or I'll take maybe a this or maybe a that. Nope! And if you did, who the heck knows what you would get later? You think it through, decide, ask, and it is given. Same with your business and success! This week I had a client that was frustrated. She is such a lovely human being. You meet her, you melt, and you want more.

I often get told that someone is waiting to start their business or one of my programs or make a change when the time is right. Without being disrespectful, it is laughable. Laughable for a few reasons: First, to believe that we are actually in that much control. Second, to believe that there is anything more than just a delay in your destiny is out of integrity. And third, if you have thought it even for a nanosecond then the time is now.

I know the biggest objectio I hear from people working with me is, "I would love to, but I don't have the money". AND I know it is the biggest struggle you have when landing clients, as well. Out of all the objections for people to get the help, support, coaching, or healing they need, money is the biggest. I have spent years working on this and finding ways to coach people into reality. The reality is two things: 1) We always have the money to do the things we REALLY want to do. 2) You always get exactly what you need when you need it.

Most of my private clients and inner circle know that I have been through a huge transition over the last four months. I worked in the Broadway Theatre industry for ten years and left that position about four weeks ago. It is a long story why I stayed so long with a thriving business. In some ways it was fear of change. Some of it was doing what you know and a part had to do with other people's voices. Most of you know my story of struggle, confusion, and frustration around finding a marketing path that felt authentic and heart centered when I first started my life coaching business.

My mentor says, "Suzanne, You must get comfortable with being uncomfortable". Ugh. That is so hard. I know why....I get it. My other mentor says "business is messy". So if you know that business is ever changing, can be messy, and really is an ebb and flow. You must be OK with being uncomfortable. Lots of unexpected things will happen. Lots of unknowns will be present. Lots of mistakes will take place. You sit in uncomfortable quite a bit.

There have been lots of new business lessons that the puppy has taught me over the last week, but none as big as tenacity. What the puppy wants the puppy will get, and not because he is bossy or begging, but because he is willing to use strange strategies. Giving up is not an option- strategy change is the solution. This made me think back on the last 3 years and building my own business. I realized I had done pretty much the same thing. To win in the game of business you have to be willing to change strategies. You also must be comfortable with failing.
