Entrepeneur

Having recovered from chronic fatigue four years ago to now participate in triathlons, I share what has worked for me in terms of nutrition, exercise, supplementation and psychology.

I believe that "it all starts between your ears" Your health, wellness, relationships and prosperity are all affected by your belief system and what you focus on. For that reason, I believe personal development is the key to success in all areas of life.

Make sure that you take responsibility for your results. You are "at cause" in your life, whether you like to admit that or not.

I encourage you to be the best that you can be.

To your success,

SUZI

THINGS THAT WORK:

  • Don't ever diet - it plays havoc with your metabolism and you finish up with a yo-yo effect, putting on weight again when you stop the diet.
  • Adopt Low GI eating by substituting High GI foods with Low GI foods (eg eat Low GI Basmati rice instead of Jasmine rice).
  • Increase your activity level - not everyone likes running or cycling, but you can find SOMETHING that you enjoy and increase your activity level on a daily basis.
  • Throw away the scales and get out your tape measure instead.
  • Focus on FAT REDUCTION. If you are building bone density and building muscle mass then your weight may actually be going up. A reduction in waist measurement is proof of a loss of fat – that "spare tyre" is not made up of muscle!
  • Articulate your WHY - what motivates you? Write it down, visualise it and use positive affirmations to keep you moving in the right direction.
  • Have an accountability partner - most people benefit from this simple step.

How to get started

After recovering from chronic fatigue I completed a 537k 9-day "Great Escapade" ride around the south west of Western Australia in 2009. I have also completed numerous triathlons, the 12 km City to Surf fun run, the Great Bike Ride (53 ks around the Perth Swan River).I have come to realise that my health and my strength is my greatest asset, and protecting my health is one of my highest priorities in life. I would love to assist you to reach your health and wellness goals.
