Growing up in Ukraine, in a family of herbalists and people who love nature, my approach to wellness has always been natural and organic.

In North America people are lost in their search for a quick fix and they turn to pharmacology to address their health conce s, be it physical or psychological. The food Industry is another area of concern. Food produce has become a mass production commodity where quality is compromised for quantity. How much do people really know about the food they buy in our supermarkets?

After extensive research on this subject, I have learned that North America is the number one country when it comes to diabetes, obesity, heart disease, cancer, depression and other diseases, and that a proper diet is one of the key elements in the treatment and prevention of diseases.

Knowing all this, I have become a passionate activist of natural living. I believe there is no need to re-invent the wheel and that everything a human being needs already exists in nature; it is therefore unnecessary to fabricate but rather to be educated about our natural environment and the resources and remedies that can be derived from it.

Choosing to become a psychotherapist is a tribute to my son Mark who tragically passed away at the very young age. What emerged from the immense pain of loss is a strong desire to be of service to others and to share the many insights I have gained through the profoundness of my experience.

During the search for an educational institution, I have realized that conventional psychology does not reflect my outlook on healing. It is incomplete in its focus, being that of only one aspect of a human being - the mind. Hence, the Transformational Arts College (TAC) felt like a good fit since its viewpoint on healing is all encompassing and holistic.

The year spent at TAC truly was an eye-opening, transforming experience. Since 1998 TAC has been at the leading edge of the psychotherapy development and holistic education fields. The Spiritual Psychotherapy and Spiritual Director Programs that I have completed confirmed my beliefs and provided me with professional skills development in psychotherapy and psycho spiritual facilitation. To this end, my work is based on emotional healing, energetic therapeutic techniques, counseling skills and the spiritual side of psychotherapy.

Shortly after completion of the Program, I had a vision; why not combine my two passions – psychotherapy and the advocacy and education of organic living? In September, 2009 HHC Holistic Health Clinic was opened. In doing so, we welcome new holistic healthcare practitioners to join our successful growing team that now consists of naturopaths, nutritionists, homeopaths, allergists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, psychotherapists, reiki healers and massage therapists. The clinic and my psychotherapy practice have helped bring life to my vision and passion and truly become a life-defining experience for me.

Basics of Starting Your Practice. While completing my psychotherapy program, I was eager and excited to start my practice and share my skills with the world. How to get started

First and foremost I am here to help you rediscover your own strength, courage and wisdom, rather than to pick your brain and tell you what’s ‘wrong’ with you. I believe we have a tendency to focus too much on who we are not instead of on who we are. No wonder we often feel lost and unable to find direction in our lives.

Mood disorder symptoms such as anxiety and depression usually point us towards important underlying causes, which when discovered and understood can be worked through.

My method is client-centered because I believe it is you who is the expert on your life. My own expertise in psychotherapy allows me to guide and support you in gaining a deeper self-awareness. Bringing together each of our strengths, we work as a team in finding the keys to your personal success and well-being.
