Tara Welty

Tara practices acupuncture in Parkersburg, WV. She has over 14 years of experience as a practitioner of Oriental medicine. Prior to opening her practice in Parkersburg, she practiced in Buffalo, NY and Flint Hill, VA.

A native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, she began her study of health and wellness at an early age, beginning with Western Herbal medicine, a passion that continues to this day. Initially trained in Plant Spirit Medicine, a shamanic form of Five Element acupuncture, she also studied Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese healing art. In 2012, she received her Diploma of Acupuncture from Ongiara College in Ontario. Besides having more than 3,000 hours training in acupuncture and moxibustion, she has also completed over 1400 hours of post-graduate acupuncture education with Niki Bilton, a highly regarded Five Element master acupuncturist. Her certifications include Diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM), Certified Practitioner Member status in the AOBTA, and Auricular Detoxification from NADA.
