Dr. Rohrer is the Executive Director of the Addiction Recovery Graduate Programs, which offers education and coaching programs for people after their primary treatment. He is a Life, Performance & Recovery Coach, and Licensed Marriage, & Family Therapist (MFC20325), in private practice in Walnut Creek, CA. Dr. Rohrer works with individuals, couples, and groups, in-person and through video conferencing; he also produces recovery products.
Dr. Rohrer began working in addiction treatment in 1973 and he has worked in many types of programs, with most types of substance and behaviorally addicted clients.
In 1974, Dr. Rohrer completed an Alcoholism Counselor Training Program with the City of Baltimore and John Hopkins University. In 1978, he received his Master of Arts degree, with two specialties, Alcohol Studies and Marriage, Family & Child Counseling from Lone Mountain College (acquired by USF) and University of San Francisco. In 2000, Dr. Rohrer received his Ph.D. from Greenwich University in Psychology, with a specialty in Addiction Treatment.
In the 1990s, Dr. Rohrer produced the Annual San Francisco Bay Area Relapse Prevention Conferences. He has taught at National University, School of Psychology & Human Behavior, and at Relapse Prevention at Cal State E.B.
Personally, Dr. Rohrer has been in recovery since 1985.
