The Key 2 Healing Expert

Vincent D'Errico Quick Facts
I began my journey through the realm of Natural Health and Healing when I was 15 years old. I was diagnosed with a genetic neurological disorder call Friedreich's Ataxia and, unwilling to accept defeat, I began to read every book on meditation, alte ative medicine, and spiritual healing that I could get my hands on. In my search for more knowledge and understanding, I officially enrolled at CCNH where I obtained a Bachelor of Natural Health Studies and I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Naturopathy at a different university.

Oranges: More Than Just Vitamin C
Oranges are usually associated with vitami C, and thought of as nature’s finest source of vitami C. Due to its vitami C content, most people think of oranges when they think of healthy foods and infection fighters. Oranges are a great source of vitami C which, as a top antioxidant, help to prevent damage to DNA by free radicals. I have written extensively on the subject of free radicals and anti-oxidants so I’ll only briefly touch on the subject here for those who haven’t read any of my other articles.

Eggs, Cheese, and Heart Disease
Many conventional health experts warn about eating too much cheese, butter, and egg yolks because of all the fat and cholesterol. These people usually say things like “It’ll clog your arteries!” and “Your heart attack risk factors are too high!” Well, did you know that these fatty, cholesterol-laden foods can actually reduce your risk for heart disease (and quite a few others)? This is because foods like butter, egg yolks, hard cheeses, and soft cheeses are fairly high in vitami K2, the highest being a soy based dish called natto which is popular in Japan.

What’s The Healthiest Fish and Why?
You’ve certainly heard about essential fatty acids, and all the benefits associated with them, but what are they? The most popular fatty acid is the omega-3 fatty acid. This particular group of fatty acids has several members including; alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosalhexaenoic acid (DHA). ALA is composed of eighteen carbon atoms and three high energy double bonds. EPA contains twenty carbon atoms and five high energy double bonds.
