William ("Bill") Courson is director and principal instructor of the New Jersey Institute of Ayurveda, in Montclair, New Jersey and is dean of institutional development and instructor at the Sai Ayurvedic College of Miami, Florida.. A retired corporate managerial accountant and website designer and developer, he has been a lifelong student and of and writer on the themes of traditional healing, alte ative and complementary medicine, spirituality and eastern and western alchemy.

In addition to his work in New Jersey, Bill maintains a consulting practice in Miami, Florida as well as in the Bluegrass region of central Kentucky. He is a certified herbalist with special interests in the fields of ayurveda and Traditional Western Medicine (TWM, or humoral medicine) and energetic healing through 'subtle therapies' including chakra, color and crystal therapies and has authored numerous professional and popular articles in these fields. Additionally, Bill is a Reiki Master/Teacher in the traditional Usui lineage. He has taught professional level courses in all of these disciplines, and most recently was invited to train aspiring physicians in Reiki at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Medical School.

Bill holds diplomas and certifications in advanced (Western) herbal medicine,Bach flower essence therapy, a Diploma in Ayurvedic Science from the New Jersey Institute of Ayurveda and a Bachelor of Vedic Studies (Ayurveda) degree from the Sai Ayurvedic College of Miami. He is a member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, and is active on that organization's Standards Committee and Ayurvedic Schools Subcommittee, and was recently named to the Indian government-sponsored Ayurvedic USA Advisory Council.. He makes his home in Berea, Kentucky and Montclair, New Jersey where he is active in a number of professional, civic and charitable organizations.

In some instances the omissions are of so critical a nature as to amount to intentional deception, and I feel these need to be addressed publicly.
