His most recent book is "Create Your Own Job Security: Plan to Start Your Own Business at Midlife," which gives detailed instructions on how to select your best business possibility at the moment and how to plan ahead to take advantage of other opportunities. One potential objective is to discover a business that you love so much that you would do it even if no one paid you and how to make money at it. One purpose of the book is to show how anyone, at any age, and any time can start their own successful business to solve their immediate financial problems and occomplish their life objectives. Among the strategies advocated in the book is that a person start his own business while working for others, run it at a low level while collecting health insurance and benefits and then; should he be abrubtly dismissed from his job, he already has a proven business to fall back on. This approaps avoids flailing about trying to conceive of something to do while in the midst of the worse depression that the individual has experienced in his entire life. This book is supplemented by a blog: https://createyourownjobsecurity.com and YouTub videos on the Hovey Smith Channel.

At 84, I must use a cane. I was shopping at a grocery store, and a mother with her three-year-old daughter was ahead of me. I heard running steps behind me and which stopped when a slim eight-year-old boy approached from behind. He stopped and asked, "Why do you use a cane?" I answered that I needed to use it to keep me from falling because I had lost my sense of balance. He gave me a look, as if not quite believing that a slim adult, even an older adult, could not run as easily as he could.

In an era where jobs are frequently disrupted by wars, natural disasters, mergers, and a rapidly evolving marketplace, many workers have come to realize that the only job security they have is what they can create for themselves. "Using AI to Make Your Own Job Anytime, Anywhere, At Any Age" uniquely explains in 175 pages how to derive an original job idea, test the concept, and then goes step-by-step on how to start their own businesses in the U.S. The book concludes with a chapter on how to write a book if your product is knowledge, rather than a physical object.

The citation for the prize commented “’Blood Ties’ is definitely a feature film that would attract large audiences at even larger venues. The Hemingway Award is our highest award for a feature length screenplay. We have many winners for category and genre for feature length screenplays, but only one yearly will win the ‘Hemingway Award’ our most coveted award for literary works of art in the form of a screenplay.

New Outdoor Books Four recent books from southern authors can be used to illustrate changing market demands for hunting and fishing stories. This market is decreasing as pre-baby boomers and boomers are dying off, or becoming so sight-impaired they can no longer read, and the younger generations are becoming increasingly reluctant to read.

Many people are rightly conce ed with the present and exponential impacts that AI is having on work and life. There is no field whether in competitiveness in retail trade, manufacturing, military activities, law enforcement, education, health care, or in the creative arts where the impacts of AI are not already being felt and may become even more indispensable to modern life - much as the smartphone is today.

The current Writers and Actor's strikes in the movie industry is partly out of a conce of the present and coming ability of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to replace working writers. Writers very quickly learn to take criticism. Almost any day any working writer will have his article, book, or screenplay rejected, and sometimes very harshly. Over the past half-century, this has happened to me many times, but yesterday I received a Kirkus review of my new novel "The Goldfarb Chronicles: Moving With Baby, The Solitario, Brewster County Law" that reached a new high or low depending on your point of view.

As part of a series of twelve videos I am doing for a LearnDesk School I attempted to create one using photographs to illustrate my points. To do this I had to re-photograph more than 70 prints into digital format, record the voice and edit using Audacity and try two video production programs to see which was the most compatible with this approach.

If you don’t know where you are, you can’t know where to go. One of the most difficult tasks that beginning entrepreneurs have is to make a realistic evaluation of their own abilities. Lesson 4 of my LearnDesk series covers a series of points from personal appearance to communication skills. No one likely has all the skills to run a successful business. The objective of this lesson is to have viewers systematically evaluate different aspects of the business world to determine which aspects they need to improve, and which are best farmed out to others.
