Hovey Smith holds degrees from the Universities of Georgia and Alaska, is a Professional Geologist registered in Georgia, has been a decorated Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army, is the author of 18 books, a former radio host, does stand-up comedy, is a wild game cook, a business consultant, and is an international speaker on environmental and business topics.
