Whether you’re in sales as a professional, an entrepreneur or a service professional these 10 quick tips from Vanessa Simpkins author of “From Bankrupt to $900 a Day Selling Mops” will make a HUGE difference to your bottom line.

1. Make an Intention for Your Day

Get into the habit of predetermining your success; very important. You are a powerful creator! Stop running on autopilot. Take 10 minutes and write down these answers each day. How much money do you want to make? Who do you want to attract? What kind of interactions do you want to have? Do you want to have a smooth, free-flowing day where everything connects easily? How would you like your day to unfold?

2. Start with Gratitude

Practicing gratitude is one of the most important rituals you can do to actively invite more abundance into your life. Write down each day – what I am grateful for – I appreciate and acknowledge myself today for – 2 separate lists. This gets you in the energy of RECEVING.

3. Love Yourself

Take the time to put your needs first — make them a priority. Make sure you eat well, get plenty of rest and take care of pressing matters first so you can really be present with your clients. The art of “sales” is all about energy, an exchange of energy between two people. Make no mistake that people buy your energy not your product or service.

4. Dress for Success

When you dress for success you not only send a message to your clients that you are important and are worthy of their respect, but more importantly you also send yourself that message.

5. Make a list and JUST DO IT

It’s a simple little three minutes that can save you more time than any other trick I know. Set a timer & make your goals and start calling, knocking on doors, adding friends on Facebook, or whatever else you do to get in front of your prospects. It helps to start your day with the tasks that are the hardest and most frightening because we tend to make them bigger in our minds than they really are. Then celebrate – the most important part!

6. Have the Right Tools in Your Sales Toolbox

The biggest secret to my sales success are the energy tools I utilize to help bring me back to my presence and full power. You are going to get a lot of rejection, that’s just sales in a nut shell. Your success will be determined by how you navigate rejection and self-regulate your perceptions. 7. Remember to deliver value first

It can be easy to get excited about the money but remember your job first and foremost is to deliver real value to your clients. People can feel what your priorities are and if it’s not them, they won’t be opening their wallets!

8. Have fun!

Sales is creative, when you are stressed and burnt out there is no room for creativity to come through. Make sure there is fun-time planned into your week. Plan in time each week to go and have FUN! When you come back to selling after time off you are always ready to go!

9. Have the Right Mindset

For some people making 900$ a day is a fart in a windstorm. What are your perceptions on wealth? Expand your mind so you can expand your wallet too:) Cultivate the habit of continually improving your perceptions, beliefs and mindset around wealth. Invest in your personal development.

10. Smile — a lot!

Smiling lets people know you’re safe to approach that you are easy going and fun. Bottom line is people like to do business with people they know like and trust. So smile, LOTS because if you followed these ten tips you are about to start seriously mopping up on cash:)

It hit me while I was having an inspiring conversation this week with a woman wanting to get a job selling mops like I do. After seeing my numbers and opening the door to possibility that she could also make 900$ a day selling mops, noticing her eyes glisten and sparkle as she soaked up every morsel of information I gave her as if it were the most important thing in the world, I felt inspiring. Then I realized that my 900$ a day earnings (although above average to many) could also be seen as a fart in a windstorm compared to someone who say makes 9000$ a day, or even 900$ an hour.
