Many of us understand how powerful daily gratitude is, but few of us are able to maintain daily gratitude habits through life’s up and downs. Julie Boyer’s new book, 30 Days of Gratitude, teaches us how to create a foundation of daily gratitude in our lives. This book offers insightful tips and indispensable habits that will help you on your journey to achieving your personal best in all that you do. Filled with 30 diverse topics, this book encourages you to take action based on what you have learned on each day. With your new habits, you’ll be able to design your life with gratitude, creating new goals and a vision, which will help in finding your life’s purpose. Finally, this book will show you how gratitude helps you attract more abundance into your life, and other amazing ways to implement gratitude into your life. Julie shares with us a bit more about how this project came together.
What drove you to write a book about gratitude?
Over the past several years, I have been through many personal challenges and successes, and I found that my regular practice of daily gratitude made it easier to get through the tough times, and at the same time, my successes seemed to happen more quickly tha
I had ever imagined. I was driven to write a book to share with others how these habits had impacted my own life, so that they could also learn how to live from a place of gratitude daily and see how it impacts their own lives.
Tell us about the process of writing a book.
I had this idea over a year ago, and even created a cover page, but I didn’t do anything with it. I started writing an outline in December 2012 and I had also included in my 90 days goals that I would publish an eBook. At the end of January 2013, I suffered a miscarriage at 15 weeks. It was my gratitude practice that helped me to get past this difficult time. A few weeks later, I knew I had to get the book written to share how powerful gratitude can be with thousands of people. I wrote the book in February, worked through the editing process with my sister, Sophie Boyer in March. The book went to production with Balboa Press in April and now we are launching it on May 31st on Amazon.com. Writing and publishing a paperback book in 3 months is VERY quick – but I had set my intention in February that it would be published by May, and it was!
