The new coach that took his place recruited, and brought in all of his own players before arriving. This erased my spot on the team and destroyed my dreams in an instant. It took me awhile to get over it, I had lost all of my motivation to go to class, leaving my grades to take a drastic free-fall.
I had to learn to suck it up and move on. It was difficult, but inside I knew I had achieved my goal. I didn't end up playing for the team, but I was GOOD enough to play on the team, which was all I needed. I even beat a few of their players in some one vs. one games. At the time, I didn't realize that not actually playing on the team, taught me a very important lesson that I still value to this day.
2. True growth finally begins, and new experiences arise.
Only when you begin to start taking full responsibility for everything in your life, whether it be your health, finances, goals, relationships, spirituality, intellect, etc... Will your true purpose and growth as a conscious human being begin to activate. If you're always depending on others to do things for you, or to bail you out, you'll remain stagnant. That is only staying in the passenger seat, where someone else is taking the responsibility of driving you.
Remember when you first became of age to drive? How excited you were with the freedom to finally go anywhere you wanted? It's the same concept with responsibility, instead of someone else always driving you around, YOU ARE now the one in charge of your life. You decide where you can go, and what new experiences you can have. The possibilities are endless!
3. No More Dependency
When you're fully responsible for everything you do in your life, your dependency on others will vanish. You wont have to always depend on someone else, to get what you want. Think of the friend who's always asking you to drive them somewhere, how annoying does it get after awhile? Eventually, you'll tell them to get their own car or get lost.
How long can you really depend on others to do things for you, before they tell YOU to get lost? What will you do when this occurs? Find someone else? What would happen if there wasn't anybody else? Are you willing to take that risk? Dependency is the mindset of most homeless people. They're always wanting someone else to help them, instead of taking responsibility and doing it themselves.
The only person you can count on in the end, to get what you want in life, is YOU. People can assist and guide you, but YOU must be the one doing what it takes. Always taking from others, and not giving back, is only sucking away their energy and using it for your own. This reality isn't sustainable, it cannot last in the long term or ever be fulfilling.
4. True abundance
When you've finally become responsible for every aspect of your life, you become a giver, rather than a taker. Giving sustains life, taking destroys life. Depending on others is being a taker. Being a giver/receiver will create endless abundance in your reality, because you're now taking part in sustaining life. In turn, creating a profound positive impact in the universe. Manifesting your reality becomes easier and easier, because now you're benefiting the WHOLE, and not just yourself. Ironically, benefiting the whole is 100 million times more powerful in terms of benefiting you. Unfortunately, people are led to believe it's the other way around.
5. Knowing you have purpose
Every single living creature on Earth has a purpose of some kind. You are no different. The homeless person is no different. Everything is equal, nothing is better, nor worse. It's just that many do not realize or value their own worth.
Unfortunately, most people aren't able to find their true purpose, because of lacking the responsibility required to evolve to that point. Many of us have too many distractions, to take the time and effort required to find our soul purpose and act on it. Growing and finding your true purpose DOES take responsibility, you have to WANT and DO whatever it takes to attain your goals. The universe will show you, but if you're not ready for it, what's the point?
Sitting around in your parents basement when you're 30-years old, is not getting out there and experiencing what you need in order to find your calling in life. Being responsible, leads to a multitude of opportunities for new lessons, and the true joy of growing as a conscious human being. The opportunities are endless! Empower yourself, by taking responsibility for yourself!
