Anxiety can have serious implications for your health, if you do not deal with it effectively. A study carried out in Sweden has revealed that young men who are diagnosed with anxiety disorder in their teens and early 20s have a greater risk of developing a heart disease than young men who are calm.
So, what are some of the things you can do to deal with anxiety? How can you effectively handle the worries and anxieties that trouble your mind?

1. Whistle To Yourselfr
When you whistle to yourself when you are in frightful situations, it will lift your spirits and help to put you in a happy state and that will help you to calm your nerves so that you will feel less nervous and jittery. Additionally, it will help to distract you so that you can stop thinking about the thoughts that are causing you anxiety.

2. Do Things That Will Make You Laughr
Laughing will make your brain release endorphins, which will help you to feel calm and relaxed. According to Doctor Oz, a heart surgeon at Columbia University Medical Center, when people laugh, their autonomic nervous system calms the body down, and that allows the heart to relax so that the person will feel a sense of tranquility.
So, watch your favorite sitcoms often, especially when you feel your anxiety getting stronger. Additionally, surround yourself with humorous people because humor is contagious and so they will say things or do things to make you laugh, which will make you forget about your cares and worries. Moreover, go out once in a while and look for funny things going on around you and laugh at them.

3. Show Gratituder
Showing appreciation for what God has done for you, and for what other people have done for you, can help you to reframe your mind—it can make you glad, it will make you more optimistic, you will learn to look on the positive side of life and that will help you to change your perspective on painful experiences and challenges you face.
Additionally, it can help you to feel happy, you will lighten up, you will not take yourself and life so seriously and that will help you to relax and enjoy each day.
Furthermore, research shows that it is physiologically impossible to show gratitude and to fear at the same time.
So, at the end of very day, write down 10 things God did for you, and 5 things friends and family did for you. Ruminate upon it and it will help you to look at the bright side of life, which will help to cancel out negative thoughts from your mind.

4. Read Lots Of Books
A study carried out by researchers at Emory University suggests that reading a novel can improve brain connectivity and reconfigure brain networks so that you can take your mind off your problems to give you peace of mind.
Additionally, as you relate to the suffering of characters in the stories, and as you follow how characters deal with challenges, it can help you to grow and become stronger mentally, which will help to alleviate some of the symptoms of anxiety.

5. Prayr
Prayer can give you hope that even if you are weak and you can’t handle all your problems, there is a Power who can help you to solve impossible and intractable problems, and that can be mentally relieving.
Additionally, learning to focus on God when you pray can teach you mental discipline, which will make it easier for you to control your thoughts and think positive thoughts when negative thoughts torment you.
Furthermore, prayer can give you a sense of comfort when you remember that God loves you and will help and protect you amidst life’s changing scenes, which can give you peace of mind.

Conclusionr
To deal with anxiety, whistle to yourself when you feel anxious, make sure you spend a lot of time with people who will make you laugh or do things that will help you to lighten your spirits, show gratitude, read novels often, and pray often and you will find peace even when there is turmoil all around you.
