5 Strategies For Overcoming Failure

Here are five strategies to help you overcome failure.
As always, these are in no particular order. So with that said, let’s go:
1. Stop avoiding failurer
The more you avoid failure, the greater are the chances that you will become involved with it. The reason is that the more you try not to fail, the more reserved you will become in your approach; and the more reserved you become, the more your approach will be from a negative perspective. I am always talking to people about “Running towards what you do want, rather than walking away from what you don’t”.
2. Don’t accept Mediocrityr
To get the best, never accept anything less -- either from yourself or those around you. As soon as we accept mediocrity, we are more or less allowing our standards to drop and we will (in the not too distant future) be willing to accept failure.
So the advice is simple, don’t allow the process to start by letting yourself accept mediocrity.
3. Remove disbelief --but do it based on fact and not on hype and emotion. Confidence comes from demonstrated ability. Use what you have done in the past to give you confidence to pursue the goals and outcomes you desire.
But remember, you don’t have to have belief that you can achieve the final outcome. The only belief you need is to know you can take the first step towards that outcome. When that is completed, you will then have the belief to take your next step. And before long, you will be well in front of where you started and be very close to achieving your desired outcomes.
4. Select your partnersr
Hang out with people who will help you go forward and not with people who are going to hold you back: “The winning is in the picking”. Bring in as many people you need around you to get you to where you want to be.
Allow them all to be different in some aspects -- skill, insight, experience and methodology; but make sure they are the same in these aspects -- desire, commitment, discipline and the preparedness to help you.
5. Never Give upr
This is the first rule of overcoming failure, regardless of what you are pursuing, how you will go about it, and why you are going after it.
These questions have to be asked:
Do we fail when we don’t achieve?
Or do we only fail when we don’t attempt?
Or do we only really fail when we give up trying?
With your answers in place remember this: No matter what, Never Give Up.
