8 Grounding Techniques to Practise After Attunements

Grounding after attunements can help reduce symptoms of feeling light headed, dizzy and a little disorientated, whether you have received an attunement or have given one, grounding is important to anchor you back to Mother Earth.

When you give or receive attunements you are working with energies of a high frequency and level and your crown chakra has been stimulated and opened, you have connected with Source energies and unless you ground yourself afterwards you may experience some “light headed” sensations. The extent to how much you may feel depends on your current state of being and the strength of the energies you sent/received, but symptoms such as feeling light headed, dizzy, disorientated, fuzzy, foggy, disconnected from current reality, floaty, woozy, etc. may be experienced. It is important to bring your energies back to centre, to ground yourself and anchor yourself back in this reality.

8 Ways to Ground Yourself
1) Go outside and touch the earth. One of the easiest ways to ground yourself is to stand, barefoot, on the earth and allow her energies to raise up through your feet and up through your body to anchor you.
2) Visualise. If you can’t go outside visualisation works really well too. Simply get comfortable and close your eyes, visualise roots coming out of the soles of your feet and traveling down into the earth. Feel these roots are holding you in place.
3) Breathing exercise. This can be done inside or outside. Again, get comfortable. Focus on your breathing and begin to breathe slowly and deeply, visualise or feel the in breath expanding your chest and send the out breath down through your body, through your legs and out through the soles of your feet down into the ground. Continue breathing in this way for a little while.
4) Connect with nature. Go outside, walk, touch plants, trees, stones, sit under a tree and feel the earthy energy around you and just BE with everything around you.
5) Use crystals. There are many crystals that you can use for grounding, including, haematite, jet, black obsidian, onyx, red jasper, smoky quartz. People work with crystals in different ways. You can simply hold the crystal and set your intention for all the energies that you do not need to flow into the crystal or set your intention for the crystal to ground you. You can wear the crystals as jewellery or carry in your pocket, etc.
6) Drink some water and or eat some grounding foods. Water will replenish and hydrate you and has an amazing grounding effect. Grounding foods are any root vegetables, potatoes, squash, carrots, ginger, turmeric, etc.
7) Dance. Preferably barefoot if you can. Put on your favourite song and dance, feel your feet on the floor and let yourself go!
8) Take a salt bath. You can either bathe your whole body or just place your feet in a bowl of warm water with either Epsom salts or pink Himalayan salt and relax.

Try these ideas and see which suits you best. Grounding after attunements is very beneficial and will help you feel more centred and “back to normal” again quickly.
