Think back to the last occasion when you actually took a solid amount of time to concentrate on the well-being of you and only you. It shouldn’t be such a difficult task, however, in today’s society where we are sometimes expected to perform at high speed capacities and jobs are accomplished in the flick of a lamb’s ear, it is completely understandable how caring for you becomes a memory of the past and others needs and wants overwhelm the care and keeping of you.
As we anticipate the holiday season and the invites for this and that begin arriving in your mailbox it may be an opportune time to look ahead in your scheduling book and take some time to pamper yourself, call in your orders and take some time to care for yourself as you most agreeably do for others in your life on a regular basis.
~Call your dentist and make an appointment for your teeth whitening. Sprucing up your pearly whites does wonders for your overall smile and spurs a spring in your step. ~Telephone your hair dresser and make an appointment ahead of schedule to ensure availability. ~Give a jingle to your local spa and consider taking a few hours to pamper your beautiful shrine. Many establishments offer an array of services that range from manicures, pedicures and massages. Perhaps you could check out their website to become fully aware of their offerings. ~Pay a visit to your favorite attire shop and choose a fitted outfit in which to strut your stuff at your holiday events. New garb always makes you feel like a million dollars and doesn’t have to cost an arm or a leg. Try Marshalls or TJ Max for the latest fashions at rock bottom prices. ~If company is descending upon your doorstep and time seems to be of the essence, why not call the local cleaning lady to grace your home with her presence. Delegating this task has the potential to unload a boat load of stress, free up your valuable time and allow you the luxury of tackling your exercise for the day without any pending chore guilt.
The awareness of self-care requires that you take action and make the moves to better your well-being and bask in your positive self profiling actions. Is it your time, is it your day, has it been too long? If you answered yes to any of the posed questions take action, pick up the phone, make the calls and reap the benefits of caring for yourself.
