Are Values and Priorities Causing Poor Health?

The average American reveres and worships the high profile, high paid personalities of Hollywood and sports. There is a great deal of money spent on these Entertainment venues. It appears to be the primary priority of most Americans.
Yet, the average American also pays little attention to or spends money on maintaining healthy activites, and, further, criticizes and denigrates medical professionals for charging fees that are “too high”.
But there are those few thinking-capable members of the public who can see the ridiculous and almost perverse sense of values here. Oddly enough, these are typically the folks who are shunned as “nonconformists” or worse.
In order to shed light on this sense of values, let’s take a hypothetical situation.
Your spouse or child falls ill with a major and potentially deadly disease or condition. Is it a Hollywood super-star or sports star who will treat your beloved, save their life and ensure they get back to good health? Or is it the medical professional team?
So the average American continues to spend their hard earned money supporting and revering these Hollywood and sports stars, while they castigate the medical professionals for high fees! While it is these Hollywood and sports personalities who earn multi-million dollar salaries, far in excess I might add, than anyone in any medical professions!
Just like Hollywood and sports clubs did some years ago on separate occasions, maybe everyone in the medical professions should go on strike for higher fees for a few months and refuse to teat anyone, regardless of the outcome.
Maybe value systems and priorities in this country would change.
Your health is YOUR responsibility. It IS your primary asset. without good health, everything else more sooner than later comes tumbling down. And then, all the Hollywood and sports great won't matter a lick!
Let's get our priorities and values in order, proper order, and elevate health and living ahealthy lifestyle to number 1.
