What is Article Marketing? Article marketing is when you take an article you’ve written and post it in article directories that syndicate your content. This can be very beneficial for a variety of reasons:
  1. Some article directories may have a higher google page rank than your website. This means when someone is searching for information on a topic your article on the article directory may be more likely to show up in the google search results than the article on your blog. Either way, you have a new potential client reading your content.

  2. Publishers looking for fresh content search article directories. When you submit articles to an article directory you are giving publishers permission to reprint your content as long as they include your resource box. (See below for resource box information.) This means you get your message in front of many, many more people than if you only publish your content on your website.

  3. You will increase your website SEO (search engine optimization) by building exte al links to your website from article directories.
Top Article Directories There are hundreds of article directories. Here are my top 5: EzineArticles IdeaMarketers GoArticles SearchWarpr SelfGrowth Submitting to article directories is usually free, plus they do not require unique content. This means you can publish the exact same article in multiple locations to maximize your article leverage. How do you lead traffic back to your website? Every article you publish on an article directory will include a resource box. This is where you share a little information about yourself and include something to entice people back to your website to learn more. Don’t just ‘slap together’ a resource box. Take a little time to craft your message. You don’t want to invest time or money in article marketing and end up with no results to show for it.
