Beautiful Biking; tooling around on your two or three wheeled friend is a wonderful way to include a scenic view to your exercise menu. It is now when the weather is nice that we need to take advantage of the elements, strap on our bike shoes, house our head beneath a protective cover and hit the road with the passion and fury of a kid in a candy shop.

Riding your bike to and fro is a fabulous mode of exercise that gets you moving, burns some calories and takes you places you might never have the enjoyment of basking in. Traveling by bike is much more exhilarating than riding in a car. You have the opportunity to sail through the breeze, capture nature in its essence and bellow through the turns and twists that so often accompany a journey upon your cycle. Of course with any outside activity there are always a few tips and precautions that you need to be aware of when taking your show on the road.

~Make sure you bike is in good working order. ~Have a bike fix-it-kit with you at all times to aid in case of a bike failure. ~ALWAYS wear a helmet to protect your head. ~Wear appropriate clothing to make your outing comfortable. ~Follow the road rules. ~Bring water for the ride, a snack and money. ~House reflective gear where riding when the lighting is compromised. ~If riding alone, inform someone of your route. ~Whenever possible choose a road less traveled to avoid traffic congestion. ~Find a bike buddy to take to the open road with. ~Stay alert and leave the music at home.

The joy of jiving along on your bike is one that promotes a healthy lifestyle, burns calories, tones your beautiful body and gives you the pleasure of enjoying the outdoor air. Whether you are a pro at pumping the pedals or it’s been a while since you’ve tried your hand at biking, you know what they say…..”Once you’ve learned, you never forget.” So get out there and enjoy the ride.
