BEDEVILMENTS (interesting word)

Got this reading this morning, and the word bedevilment is one I have not seen in ages. So over to Mr. Webster. He says, "exasperating interference and trouble; a besetting with devils". The way he puts it, I know I have experienced it. Have you?

The message: Bedevilments

We were having trouble with personal relationships, we couldn't control our emotional natures, we were a prey to misery and depression, we couldn't make a living, we had a feeling of uselessness, we were full of fear, we were unhappy, we couldn't seem to be of real help to other people --

Was not a basic solution of these bedevilments more important ... ?

A reaction might be- "I could always make a living". That is true, but so are all the other examples of bedevilment. In the past, I lived the rest of these bedevilling feelings!

A basic solution to these problems became more important to me than anything else in my life. With the problems, I did not have a life that I loved living. I do today. Not a perfect life, but far better than anything I had ever expected.

The basic solution? I worked the 12 steps and having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps- a major attitude adjustment and the regaining of self-esteem- I had a platform for good mental hygiene in my life. Notice I said "WORKED". This took hard and emotional work, it took rigorous honesty with me, it took time (it is a journey-not a destination-a basic truth) and it took the establishment of a personal spiritual component in my life.

From the foundation, I built, and continue to build, a very full, diversified and balanced life all the time keeping the "basic solution" in mind.

Some work I did alone. Some work I did was with the "free" help from people that were put into my path. Another major component was done with trained specialists and professionals who were "paid" help. To get the life I wanted, it took all the help I got coupled with "faith" and constant contact with powers greater than me.

I have been blessed to be trained in a helping profession. I have coached many miracles. I have had some great people come into my life through sheer coincidence (not through my will) and in collaboration with others have helped create the "Co-Creative Process of Life Recovery". It is a life, not addiction specific process that can improve every aspect of life. It even helped my golf game by helping me achieve serenity, a new experience for me. It is a process, with the "basic solution" as a foundation that has helped millions to achieve their dreams. It works and it is far more than just a 12 step program. It a holistic living program.

I am blessed to coach many using the "Co-Creative Process", and am thankful that my clients get the results THEY want if they are honest and do the work. Funny how they are more inclined to do the work when they pay a reasonable fee!!
