Call My Agent, Hawaii Is Fine.

So I'm sitting in a local coffee joint with my new friend Ben. He's young, excited, a talented photographer and just waiting to see what the world will bring him next.

And like most 18 year olds, his view of the world is limited to what he's already seen.

He knows he wants something more than the path most of his friends have taken. He knows it's out there. And he knows working at the local 24 hour pharmacy isn't the vehicle that's going to take him there.

Have you ever had that feeling of knowing something is looking for you, as much as you're looking for it? Sometimes just a little shift - a little tweak in your thought process is all it takes to line up with it.

I knew as I was listening to Ben try and wrap words around his dreams that he just needed an image to go with his desires.n nn( I'm kind of intuitive that way.)

So in the middle of his description of his slow moving laptop I asked him to get a picture in his head...

A few years down the road. He gets a call. His agent wants to know if he's willing to take a photo shoot in a few days. It's in Hawaii. Short notice, and since he's so in demand they don't know if he'll be available. n

The usual fee - $200,000 plus all expenses, of course.

I don't know which lit Ben up more...the idea of Hawaii or the 200K. Whichever it was, the lights went on in his eyes and his back straightened up. He began to GLOW with the vision.

And then he started talking again about the equipment he wanted but "couldn't afford." Then he realized that at the rate he would soon command, he'd never have to worry about "couldn't afford" again.

Cool story, huh?
