Something I saw and then heard myself telling someone the other day that touched me:

“I know it’s really attractive to think that [name] is coming to help you or save you from this situation. We all want to be cared for so I get that. I need you to hear and really understand that there is NO cavalry coming to save you.

YOU are the one God sent to save you.

You are the one that will decide how long you are in this situation.

The moment you accept and own that, you will see that you already have everything you need sitting right there waiting for you to use it in the way that God intended. When that happens, life gets so much easier.

You are your own cavalry.

Just like Moses, who had all kinds of excuses for why he wasn’t equipped to go before Pharaoh, God is asking you ‘What’s in your hand?’

All you see is a stick.

God can use that stick in ways you can’t imagine right now if you will accept that He knows what he’s doing and is way smarter than we could ever be about what’s best for you.

Look at what God has given you through God’s eyes and see what he is showing you and asking you to do for you and for those around you. If this is truly your Divine purpose, and [X,Y, & Z] would suggest that it is, then there is always Divine provision. Allow the Divine perspective to lead you”

As a seasoned Diversity and Inclusion practitioner for a Fortune 100 company, who has lived & traveled in several countries and continually engages in the marketplace with Diversity related issues, I see good inclusionary practices by many… on the surface. The end results however, indicate that all too often noble objectives fall short of leveraging the inherent contributions of most leaving a quiet brooding behind, or sub par productivity gains. Government and Business entities both espouse Diversity and Inclusion policies to foster goodwill and equal representation.
