A Castor oil pack is placed on the skin to increase circulation and to promote toxins elimination and healing of the tissues and organs unde
eath the skin. It is used to treat gynecological conditions like uterine fibroids, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, PMS, tubal scarring and hormonal imbalances. Other important uses of Castor oil packs include the relief of liver congestion, the improvement of lymphatic circulation, the strengthening of immune function, the reduction of inflammation and the improvement of the digestive system.
How to make a Castor oil pack
Castor oil packs are made by soaking a piece of flannel in Castor oil and then placing it on the skin. The flannel is covered with a sheet of plastic, and then a hot water bottle or warm magic bag is placed over the plastic to heat the pack.
A Castor oil pack can be placed on the following body parts:
1. On the liver, located on the right side of the abdomen right unde
eath the ribs, to facilitated detox.
2. Over inflamed and swollen joints, bursitis, and muscle strains.
3. On the abdomen to relieve constipation and other digestive disorders.
4. On the lower abdomen for dysmenorrheal pain, PMS, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts.
Duration of treatment
Castor oil packs can be applied for at least one hour 3 to 5 times a week for a couple of months. If you are trying to conceive do not apply Castor oil packs after ovulation has occurred.
When not to use Castor oil packs
Avoid using Castor oil applications if you are pregnant, lactating, menstruating or suffer from cancerous conditions.
