Change Your Life with the Power of Seeds

I cut open an apple the other day, and it blessed me. Not just the fruit - which, of course, was very tasty and healthy - but the seeds. Every apple has at least four seeds in it, enough to grow four more trees … and thousands of potential apples. Every bag of apples is an orchard!
That’s true of every plant and animal God created. An ear of corn can produce a garden; a bushel can provide a field. Not only does each species have re-creative abilities designed within it; it also contains the power of multiplication – God’s promise of abundance.
He told Adam and Eve in the garden to go forth and multiply, producing abundant harvests to bless the generations. That seed-power is his constant promise to us of His presence and provision in our lives. Despite the devil’s best efforts to confound and destroy the planet (tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, famines, fires … ), he cannot stop the power of a seed.
The Bible tells us ‘whatsoever you sow, that shall you also reap’ … ‘good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over’. So, what are you sowing? Love or strife? Peace or anger? Joy or depression? Money or misery? What do you want to reap?
You see, you are the sower. Your seeds are the thoughts, words and actions that you release into the universe every minute. Are you drowning your faith seeds in unbelief? Are you digging up prosperity seeds by complaining about what you lack? Negative thoughts and words are weeds that choke out your harvest.
The next time you cut open an apple, or pick up a pine cone, or see a field, remember God’s promise to us: as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
So, what are you sowing?
